I have found my. battery up the day before on the mains from the house and also twitch your fridge on and just. it nice and cool so you can put your food in in the morning. Nice and cold I find this works I'm not a big fan of solar panels that you just clipping your windscreen. Yes, charge your ran up. the day before and you won't have a problem. Happy camping.
Hi, thanks for your help! Once I had fitted the panel I researched the issue a little further and made a discovery that I was unaware of….
In one of our earlier vlogs, we went to a site in France where we witnessed a power outage when we connected the EHU. I think this tripped the entire system and as a result we had no power to any batteries at all when on EHU! Rookie error again but we live and learn!!!

Have to agree that does look good my battery was flat last month, so I will definitely be onto Amazon this morning. I think I would slide it down to the bottom of the screen because I can’t see those suckers holding and it might damage something if it drops down. Thanks for the video

I bought the solar trickle charger to top up the battery as it has been standing for a while.
Part 2 of the adventure will upload on Sunday and all will become clear!

If your RV has a solar panel on the roof it can be tied into the Starter batteries.

With an expensive motorhome i would have thought you would have had a 100watt panel fitted when you bought it. I have one fitted to my Coachman Laser 675 twin axle and it keeps the battery charged and the alarm and sensor
Hi, the solar on the roof keeps the leisure topped up nicely but I don’t have the switch that will divert over charge to the starter battery.. Might be investing in one!!! Thanks for the suggestion!
A split charge relay fitted would have prevented the vehicle battery from loosing charge, surprised you haven't one fitted on the Carthago. Split charge relay prioritises leisure battery first then transfers excess power to the vehicle battery, if plugged into mains hookup you are unlikely to experience a flat vehicle battery. Solar is more beneficial if your van is in storage and unable to supply mains hook up.
