I'M a huge fan of Chef Redzepi ..still need to get the Noma cookbook and maybe if i can ever afford the trip eat at the restaurant..He's very inspiring to me as I hope to be a great chef someday.
Walked pass the restaurant so many times, but as the waiting-list is on roughly 6 months I've heard, so I've never had the opportunity to visit it. It's also really expensive - but for a reason.
It's magic.
Rene, come now to your place and you will see that we even have Ferraris now ! We are not poor as we were in 1992 ! Rene Rexhepi is from a place called Xhepcisht, city of Tetovo, Macedonia. When the war broke up in ex YU Rene and his Father decided to live forever in Danmark, so as he says he is Danish but undenyebly Albanian Muslim decent from Macedonia !. I am from the same place, but I have forgoten his Face from 1992. We are proud of you Rene !
oh! yes, that makes much more sense.. absolutely. Weird how the palate changes.. as a youth I hated pickles, now they're one of my favourite things.
Absolutely incredible creations! What an artist!
What a beautiful presentation of all that is important in cooking... especially cooking for the enjoyment of others. This is not just about a restaurant, but about a culinary philosophy. I loved this video, and was especially happy to see the Thermomix cooking machine make an appearance!
In Swahili slang (sheng) noma is a reference for something great or cool and totally awesome!
deep respect to Rene and his crew keep up your epic work ***** its art
You inspired me chef. As first line cook I have to learn many things. This video inspired me become more creative.
Wonderful video. Really inspiring stuff.
wow i actually just heard and saw some pictures about Noma, but after hearing from the chef, it just amazes me xD SUPER INSPIRING VIDEO!!!!
Sorrel realy tastes wonderful :)
I love the concept. very creative and inspiring... I just don´t know what the haters here expect... the guy shows great respect to the ingredients, does a wonderful plating and has a 20 course Menu with things thought totally outside of box...
You could heal people with this food.
perfect
he was the guy as children you wanted on your team,no matter if when age 5 playing war with water Guns,to football.But with René and his twin brother Kenneth Redzepi.But when they became 9 they had to work like grown ups with a DB digital numbers of paperroutes.René almost didnt finish school because he was tired from All the work he had to do,and didnt go in his piggy,but in the household.he litterally came from nothing to understanding it all and was only matter of time before they came in the newspaper he delievered for so many years but peoble grown ups was checking em out.Since they knew they were Hard as Steel as workers,and a gold medaljer to hire.the been raise to succed.While I was running around playing untill I almost was teenager and didnt wanted a job,so got money from home,And they were in another world,but surpassed my life style and actually didnt learn me anything.but Im happy I was a part of that crew growing up with the Redzepis and Fagaragans.since i was Lone child.Thanks for All the good years Hanne Redzepi Ali,Kenneth,René.You all deserve to live well and i Hope you all do,René still looks like him self.I even remember he was the first to get the lady attention though I believe his brother wanted it more than René did himself.ahh what a boat down memory Lane.
whats the music it sounds so peaceful!
What sets them apart I think is a kind of simple honesty that's not present in the US. If this restaurant had opened in NY, the owners would peruse the upscale, fine dining approach. Rene proves otherwise.
TIME magazine brought me here :D
3:49 whats that little brown thing moving in the left down corner?!
It also moves in 3:47
He's genius!
Where can i find "Noma at boiling point" to buy or download??
I'd like to see his take on a cheeseburger
Yeahh, thats the reason it become best restaurant in the world 2 years in a row... Come on dude, it is real good food
The dishes are small because you are given like 20 of them, dont worry, people leave full.
Well, the Dutch say the Danes are "shaped" by their nature, in every aspect of life. It seems to be the truth!
@OriginalMindTrick that wiggles?
ikr?
the albanians are proud of u !
E moj Redzepi, a gde su baklave i burek u meniju?
Not that Noma isn't a great restaurant with a great chef -BUT - it must be stated, there are chefs who for YEARS AND YEARS, have been inspired and shown the direct influence of nature in their cuisine. Roellinger, Veyrat, Bras are pioneers at this level, please be aware of them.
Redzepi is far from the first. It IS inspiring! it is nature!
@morlaixxx nordic..
@Phockiu asparagus LOL
6:10 I don't know much about cooking, but that's a dick!
He`s ALBANIAN !!!
there is a large minority of albanians in macedonia... not only people from albania are albanians
you're not supposed to eat the stones bro.
René is an albanian! I don't know any Dane who's last name happens to be ''Redzepi''....clear case!
He's a fuckin emo. :D
René Redzepi is not from albania, he is half from Macedonia and half from Denmark, but he consider himself a dane.
You have cucumber on your cheeseburger?
An interesting look at Redzepi's philosophy about food but totally ruined by the porn music playing over the top.
Le fish and chips hyper gras ! Le pays qui nous fait manger de la vache folle hé bien il donne des leçons ! Si ! Si !
You get an infection if you dine there.
This seems like a parody, but he is very serious. What comes next? The best restaurant in the world that serves rocks? or garbage? or different flavoured air?
Yes you are from Macedonia but you are an ethnic ALBANIAN
This is just stupid.
Stones on a plate? And you find this cousine good?
What is it with people wanting food to only look good with no regard to the taste?
Story of this restaurant: Make small decorative plates, use expensive ingredients in tiny amounts, somehow be considered good.
go away malaka, he says Macedonia not FYROM...and over 30% Albanians? you are nuts my friend...
