Today at age 76 I felt alone even though there are 4 others in my home, I have felt useless even though I want to do things for my family but they just do not want anything I cook, create, I have felt useless and this songs words and why it was created has given me some peace. It does not 'cure' the non-believing household but I know I need to keep praying being strong with the word, pick up my bible and read even if I cannot understand the words for the moment. Bart, Thank you so much for this song. I had heard it played on Christian radio many times over the years but it wasn't until one day in 2014 that I really listened to the words and found a special message just for me. You see I right in the middle of cancer treatment. I had had surgery, and at least 2 chemo treatments. I was scarred physically and emotionally, I was bald from the chemo, and bloated from the steroids. In my mind I was anything but beautiful. I was driving home from another doctor appointment when the song came on the radio and the line " you were made for much more than this." caught my attention. As I listened to the whole song I started bawling ( not something you want to do as you are driving in heavy traffic.) The song reminded me that Jesus looks at us with x-ray vision. He can see the hurts we try to hide inside and he can see our hearts that are broken and bleeding and crying out for someone to love us with a love we have never known before. An unconditional love that would send one to die on a cross for us even though we didn't deserve such love. Thank for writing this for your kids because we are all someone's kids but most of us don't have father's that are song writers. God bless.

It's also the global organizations that do so many things for so many people around the world and locally to help them in a Christian manner. The 21st century church is not like the big building that it used to be. It's much bigger. It's people like you, MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Matt Maher, Third Day, and many more amazing bands and musicians. It's also the the Christian speakers, like Greg Laurie, David Jeremiah, and Steven Furtick. It's also the global organizations that do so many things for so many people around the world and locally to help them in a Christian manner. And, of course, our local churches of all Christian denominations. All of us out here need and appreciate people like you and our pastors for your inspiration and for the amazing example you set in bringing the rest of us to Jesus Christ.
Bart has a special, God given gift. This brother ministers to me like, or better than, a Pastor.

My dad loved me unconditionally. My mom was abusive. They greatest thing I’ve done in my life is accept Jesus in my heart. I have grown and learned so much. I love giving hope. I love others where they are at. When I first walked with Christ I was not the woman I am now or will be. God changes my heart daily. I don’t judge others walk that Gods to change.
