  • Do you want to learn how to count in Korean using Native Korean numbers? This video will teach you how to count from 1 to 99.
Why only 99? How about 100 and more?
Starting from 100, Koreans use Sino-Korean numbers.
There are two number systems in Korean: Sino-Korean and Native Korean. You need to know both.
In this lesson you will learn Native Korean numbers and in what situations you should use them. I will also give you a few exercises so that you could practice and absorb the new information faster.
I will teach you larger numbers (mln, bln, trn) in the lesson #54.

Looking at this lesson right after learning the Sino-korean numbers I could say this is a bit harder to learn. It’s just that I feel more comfortable using the sino than the native.😊 But again thanks for this lesson. I’ll surely study the native.😊

There are like 13, if I am not mistaken, such patchims including ㄺ, ㄼ, etc. In that lesson I explain how to read them and give examples. ❤️ Thanks to you too^^

I have a question... when you said to count number of times I didn't get what you mean well... For example when you say "do something twice or 22 times" which one we use sino or Korean numbers?
Cuz I've watched some videos and they were using sino for saying the frequency I mean the number of times
I'm really confused could you please explain this to me (。ŏ﹏ŏ)

      Hello Raven^^
      Hmm.... That's an interesting question.
According to the rules, when you say 'number of times', you should use Native Korean numbers.
' I have been to Korea two times. '
      저는 한국에 두 번 가 봤어요. '
But, actually, you are right. Often Koreans use Sino-Korean numbers for 'number of times'.
I have noticed that for larger numbers, for some reason, Koreans usually use Sino-Korean numbers.
By 'larger numbers' I mean numbers starting somewhere from 18 ~ 20.
      For example,
      ' I have watched this movie 30 times. '
would be 삼십 번 instead of 서른 번
