Thank you for the tips. Never had success with cutting crepe with my cricut maker. Will try it with your tips.

My Cricut Maker won't cut thru heavy crepe paper.. I'm hoping a new rotary blade will do the trick.

Hi Deborah, did you try all of the tips in the video? I’ve had my rotary blade for several years now and I haven’t found it to be blunt yet, so I hope some of the other tips might be useful for you before you invest in a new blade. 🤞

My rotary blade cuts into the mat - I changed everything possible (default, more, less, individual pressure settings…) - but it keeps on eating my mat. Any recommendations for fine crepe Papses? I am out of any helping ideas.. :/

Hi Von, oh no! I'm sorry that's happening, it must be so frustrating! I have found that if you cut lots of the exact same design on the mat repeatedly it will eventually cut through in that same spot, however I've only had this happen with the fine point blade on cardstock, not with the rotary. I made my wedding invites using my cricut, and after about 100 pages of the same design I did have a few mat casualties! But I'm surprised that's happening straight away for you.
A few things I would suggest you try (if you haven't already):
      - If you're doing lots of cuts with the same design, just rotate the mat 180 degrees so the cuts are in different places.
      - You might be able to fix your sliced mats with thick tape on the back of the mat over the cut! It obviously depends how bad they are, and is more of a short term fix, but might help while you're figuring out the settings so you don't waste a new mat.
      - Which mat are you using? Is it Cricut brand or an alternative? I'd suggest the purple (strong grip) or pink (fabric grip) Cricut brand mats. I've not tried any of the alternatives, so that could be why?
      - The default crepe paper setting in cricut design space usually works well with the German heavyweight crepe, so I would try that first. You might need to reset your defaults if you've changed them. (Mine is at 1271 for the cut pressure, and multi-cut is off.)
      - If you have some of the heavyweight paper, I'd try that first so you can figure out if the issue is the paper or something else.
      - Once you've eliminated the mat or settings being the issue (ie. if it works with the heavyweight paper), then I would adjust the cut pressure a little at a time and do some tests on scrap fine crepe. For fine crepe I would expect it to need alot less pressure, so you could even start with it quite low and then increase the pressure until it cuts through the paper correctly.
      - Once you figure out the lower setting then be sure to make a note of it! Cricut do occasionally update the defaults, so just keep a note incase it looses your settings.
I hope that helps, please let me know if any of those things work.
      Michelle
