- Dominator 3 is back with it's first intercept in nearly 10 years, and it comes with a massive, photogenic wedge tornado. In this incredible video, Reed partners with SUPERCELL movie director Jamie Winterstern and stormchasers Jordan Hall, Sierra Lindsey, and Jaden Pappenheim to capture one of the most ominous tornadoes of the year.
First dominator intercept came with Supercell Brody’s Storm tours hat. Check out supercellmovie.com to get the hat, chase gear or learn how to watch the film.

I always feel honored to be alive during the Reed Timmer era of storm chasing. The knowledge and passion he has is honestly so inspiring
That's what I say!
ohhhh wow pagan im happy for you!!
Slurp it! SLURP!
hey can u tell me what maximum wind speed this dominator 3 can handle? what is too much.
@@foobarmaximus3506 Definitely thirsty 🤩
It’s so weird how virtually no news station has mentioned this
Right???
Just aint sensational enough if its nighttime
There was a horrific event north of Dallas that sucked all the oxygen out of the severe weather reporting.
Because if the majority of folks actually recognized what is going on with our climate, there would be mass panic.
You are watching coverage. Be thankful. MSM had to focus on the most recent mass shooting
This is one of the first tornadoes that actually terrified me to see. The constant lightning mixed with this super cloud of menacing death. I would’ve loved to see it in person. Glad to have you guys there to catch these moments and be safe through them all.
You clearly didn't watch many videos yet then :D
you do realize that's not a tornado, right? that big rotating cloud is a hanging mesocyclone. It generated an EF2 tornado for like 20 minutes
I was in it
Reed, you are LEGITIMATELY the best chaser. Not only because you’re an absolute stud at intercepts, but you and your team are passionate about the science and always willing to help those in need. Stay safe.
Ahem.. Pecos Hank.. ahem..
@@ThatMeansHesMad They're both very cool!
@@ThatMeansHesMad Pecos hank is the real deal. he actually chases tornadoes.
The opening shot is absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you we work hard!
@Reed Timmer you guys definitely do! If it weren't for your videos, staff development meetings would absolutely suck! 😅 so I should really be thanking you!
This is one of the most ghostly and menacing looking mesocyclone/tornado that I have ever seen. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Captivating footage as always. Stay safe out there and NEVER STOP CHASING!
Are there videos of bigger ones? This is by far the largest one ive ever seen.
@@carefreeme8202 the Reno 2013 tornado has some unbelievable footage.
Exactly what I was thinking! It just looks evil!
I feel like Joplin is the scariest because it was so powerful and nobody saw it coming because it was rain wrapped.
hey can u tell me what maximum wind speed this dominator 3 can handle? what is too much.
2:18 is a absolutely beautiful shot. You can see the entire structure along with the lighting. Just phenomenal... Then the sound of the wind.
I can't imagine watching the chase without Reed's shrill banshee shriek. It's his signature. Like a klaxon calling out, commanding us all to pay attention and warning those in harms way to take action to avoid impending disaster. His voice transcends the storm and saves lives.
I grew up in Marceline Missouri which is about 20 miles from Linneus. It is going to take years for the town to recover from this. Thankfully a lot of the smaller communities around have already started rallying around and helping to do some storm clean up today and have also brought supplies like food and bottled water. The area is under the threat for more severe thunderstorms tonight, but the worse threat appears to be to further north. Hopefully they get a break.
I went to school in bucklin mo.
From 69 to 81.
Lived in mendon,Sumner and new Boston. I remember when a tornado struck just a few hundred feet from the bucklin school by the train tracks to the north .
My cousin and aunt live in marceline. My parents stil live in macon.
@@garywoody5594 my grandma was a elementary teacher at Bucklin during that time. My uncle James Ware graduated from there in 84 i think. I was there also in 80-81. Elementary. Bucklin was tiny. But i enjoyed living there. Drove thru New Boston everyday for years.
@@theguy9234 mrs ware I believe was my 4th grade teacher.
@@theguy9234 did you know any dowell's around bucklin? My friend Robert dowell. Mrs. Ware was Robert's relative.
Thank you so much for putting your lives on the line to save other people’s lives and give them the best and earliest warnings available. Your data and scientific discoveries on tornados not only allow you to be safe and extremely knowledgeable of storms, but you also educate others to be vigilant and prepared. You are truly courageous
Ashley:🥰😍😘🌹
Thank you for putting your lives on the line by providing us with vicarious thrills. A f2 came down a quarter of a mile from me. Still have scars from debris
Ashley, no one is putting their life on the line. Listen to me. No one is COURAGEOUS. There is this guy. He is called "The Son of God". He speaks a word. And this word is God.
@@aldito7586 Stop.
It’s a choice and thrill to chase tornadoes they aren’t forced lol
A damage survey conducted Sunday found three distinct tracks.
The largest tornado is believed to be an EF-2 that struck near Linneus in Linn County. This tornado lasted roughly from 8:22 p.m. through 8:46 p.m. and was on the ground for nearly 12 miles. Estimated peak winds were around 135 miles per hour with this tornado and with a max width of 250 yards.
No injuries have been reported.
Its real amazing to see how far you and your team have come over the past 10 years. You have been through some real hard times.
Im real proud of dedication you have shown, great way to represent us oklahomans. thanks for what you have been doing, stay safe out there reed and keep dominating!
Awesome footage. No one does it better!
Thank you
Undeniable. 💯
@@ReedTimmerWx Dr. Timmer, you're the CHUCK NORRIS of chasers!!!!
Very good job you did Brian and Reed. You should consider to make an entire documentary program like this video but spanning the entire tornado season. Brian has much talent commenting and explaining all the things happening during the chase. 😀👍👏👏👏👏
They have it’s on RUclips call storm chasers which reed comes in season two then reed made his own tornado chaser then their old camera man Chris is on tornado hunters
@@austin_firebird 🤔
I turned my volume way up on my headphones to hear and based on the driver's quiet and subtle remarks I think he's trying to get the guys to look at the giant big time wedge tornado taking up half the sky right there to the right.
No....TO THE LEFT....THE LEFT....GUYS...THE HUGE TORNADO....
I'm glad to hear that only one home appeared to have sustained significant damage! As big as that tornado was, it could have done a lot more damage if it's track had been a bit different. Thank you so much for all that you and the team do!
That tornado was wild! Monstrous doesn't even do justice!
This is probably one of my most favorite videos ever. Great footage. Great information and great summary of the event! Amazing
It seems the 'one massive wedge' was really a very low wall cloud with a tornado somewhere underneath - but I wasn't there.
REED this was a outstanding , terrifying, storm that you and your crew filmed. I was constantly saying oh God please keep them safe. Great job everyone😊
I can't tell u how glad I am to see Reed back in the Dominatior. Cancelling his show was a huge mistake. Glad to see him in his rightful place❤
Reed you are my inspiration. I’m about to start getting into chasing, my mom won’t let me while I still live in her house, so I’m using this time to educate myself about sever weather and how to chase safely!
Good luck in your storm chasing endeavors. I would never be able to get myself to chase tornados. You all are extremely brave
Good luck and be safe!
Reed Dominating the wedge😅
Be safe. Don't chase alone.
Also take some basic emergency medicine classes\training,. CPR, stabilize broken bones, and general first aid knowledge, you are the first responder you need to be prepared to help save lives till help arrives.
What a chase! You stuck with this storm for many hours and it paid off big time. It was awesome to watch this live, and to finally see the UHD footage. Keep dominating!
4:43 the face in the clouds is amazing
Edit: omg I can’t believe you actually went through with the intercept! Legendary!
This is extremely similar to the El Reno tornado in a number of ways, insane appearance with the intense lightning and massive multivortex wedge
What an insane storm,great capture.
Truly was a monster storm.
What a stunning sight. Was camping about five miles to the north of this supercell as it was trying to produce yesterday. Watched it cross the lake we were at and was barely able to make it back to our camper before the rain and hail started. Watched this Livestream as it was trying to produce! Amazing footage keep up the great work and stay safe!
This video footage is incredible.
Thank you for all you and your team do. Y'all are saving lives.
👏🏻🙌🏻I couldn’t wait for this to be shown today!!! Fantastic footage! Great editing and an awesome chase!!! You all have done a great job!! Dem3 did fantastic!!
Thank you Reed and the crew for everything you do. The research and information you guys provide is insane. Keep
Reed you’re such a superb meteorologist! It’s easy to see your passion with every chase.
Wow! I was almost as fascinated by the dominance of the constant lightning flashes that made this night tornado virtually a day tornado! And the ferocity of the winds far out around the periphery of the tornado was impressive as well. Keep dominating like this and the meteorological community will soon have a lot more crucial data on hand to be able to forecast these beasts with more accuracy!
Crazy how Reed has become a part of our lives, allowing us to see all this wild footage - looking forward to the next 10 years buddy!
Well we earnestly DO hope that Dr. Timmer can safely reach that stage of his career, being the Chuck Norris of chasers! With his current spate of thrills and spills, it's hard to picture him now, as a Professor Emeritus!
Just as fascinating watching this recap today today as it was watching live yesterday. Stellar coverage! Stay safe, and Never Stop Chasing!
I'm so glad you guys got Dominator 3 back, this is what you and your team live for, you get the data that very few can ever acquire.
Don't stop chasing Dominator team!
great to have you back, my childhood was tornado chasers, and its amazing to see the dominator back in action.
Reed and all the team thank you so much for bringing us these tornados you put your life on line to bring these storms to all of us beautiful footage God bless you Reed and all your team prayers to these towns
Literally come to your channel to find out live forecasts. Thanks so much for all you do in the name of atmospheric science ❤ we enthusiast’s appreciate it
Absolutely brilliant, the production values on this are absolutely spot on and seeing the Dominator back out with Reed is incredible. Amazing 👏👏👏👏👏
Incredible footages, when you are from inside the car pov, in the tornado, all the screens, it’s like literally a futuristic 90’s movie, amazing. Very Impressive structure. This year the work you did to improve our experience watching your content is amazing, it’s not only entertaining and fascinating but also instructive and the capture quality is amazing.
So cool Reed and Team! Thankful for your service to keep us all informed and safe!❤
i have massive respect to storm chasers, as my dad used to be one. i love your channel and you’re def my favorite storm chaser on youtube!
I change my mind....this one here is the best footage I've seen
Thank you so much Reed and crew for this Unbelievable Footage. Reed working his magic in Intuitively Knowing where this would happen and Props for warning the people in the path of this EF-4.
Tremendous. I loved watching the stream last night & following the radar, with guidance & tips from Brian & the rest of this intelligent team. Deep dives that satisfy lifelong enthusiasts like myself, with palatable recaps filled with excitement (this video) for those who missed the stream & crave those beautiful pictures. Doc's passion & exuberance shines the best light on this field of study.
😂🤣
My goodness I wish so bad I could experience an event like this. Started watching reed on storm chasers when it first came out and have been amazed since. Great work. Notification bell activated.
This is some of the most epic tornado footage I’ve ever seen and I’m an enthusiast. The frequency of the lightning strikes showing the incredible scale and intensity of the system is worthy of only the most vehement heavy metal shredding in the background…
When I was younger I would watch every episode of Stormchasers wishing I could be your driver in the Dominator. I used to live in Oklahoma when I was a kid and never saw a tornado because I was in the storm shelters, lol. Now I would LOVE to see one in person. So happy you are still doing what you love Reed.
Wow, that was absolutely gorgeous footage.
What a monster that was. I’m so happy to see the Dominator 3 back on the road. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for it and what incredible footage you will get. Never stop chasing buddy!!
Thanks! I was waiting for the high res version. The live feed yesterday was like looking through an SI Swimsuit addition through a welders mask.
This reminds me so much of Storm Chasers. That was part of my weekly ritual in college, me and the roommates sitting down together watching that show. It is one of my favorites. Awesome stuff, gents!!!
Amazing chase and footage 🌪️ Thanks for all you do ❤️🙏🏼 Great job guys
I once drove my truck through a dust devil. Yup, me and Reed are just a couple of daredevils you could say.
This is the most picturesque wedge circulation I ever saw. Saying this as an artist, wow, colours and shapes are beautiful
Love this content, Brian. Great job of video from Winterstern, and just a phenomenal job of chasing.
Wow Reed! You are the most seasoned storm chaser there is. Stay safe and live a long life.
Been watching you since I was a kid, on the Discovery Channel. You guys are KILLING it this year!!!
Thank you Reed to you and your team!
Brain, you have done another great job of narrating.
It was wild watching this live last night.
Reed and team great job. Never Stop Dominating!
Good to see the D3 back out in the field!
Terrific coverage Dr. Reed and Mr. Brian. So thankful no one was killed or hurt. Thank you for all you do.😊
Completely agree. Reed and all of his coworkers do a great job.
I believe 1 was injured and trapped, linn County ems responded to it
Glad to see one of the Dominators out this season!
Wow... amazing and yet so scary at the same time. Thanks so much for sharing!
Some say that guy is still screaming inside an enclosed vehicle to this day.
Great video and editing! Stunning!
Amazing footage as always. It was also nice to hear that one part of the footage was sped up - makes it a lot easier to focus on the tornado than to stop and try to watch the grass to see "is this real-time?"
So glad you all got this amazing footage AND the tornado missed the town. Never stop chasing Reed! Much love from Michigan!
I'm not sure what gave me this idea, but I think it is a giant wedge.
This is so awesome I like big tornadoes.
I like to Chase a tornadoes someday it looks like so much fun.
@@drrichardvalentine THEY DON'T LIKE YOU!!!!!!!!!!
My little brother (he’s gen alpha basically born w/ a tablet in hand) loves the storm chaser show. He was so excited when I told him you have a RUclips. Keep up the amazing work! You are still a huge influence to all generations!
That is some of the best footage I have ever seen of that beauty.
Awe yeah!
Great footage!
Gotta love life knowing that someone like Reed Timmer exists!
Love watching you reed! Would love to eventually meet and chase with you
Incredible
Omg thank you for being brave and warning all in the path of this wedge tornado. May god continue to bless and protect you. I remember the 1st tank you built.
Amazing footage Reed and Brian. Great job. Thank you. ❤
This is crazy
I would like to see a walk around and technical breakdown on the vehicle, with special attention given to the road spikes/anchors. Incredible.
Glad to see dominator 3 back on the road and win its first interception after 10 years.
Thank You for this Reed.
I feel so sorry for the helpless animals and the people 😢 Tornados are fascinating but evil! Please be safe Reed!❤
It's just mother nature! Nothing evil about it!
It's an actual tornado either..
Hello from California
Absolute monster of a tornado! I'm glad it's damage was on the minimal end. Beautiful footage! 🌪
I’m from KC and this is legit the only way I know about this. Thanks for doing what you do Dr. Reed!
How does Reed know if the spikes are deployed properly or not?
Listen to the hydraulic pump motor sound, and note the movement of the vehicle as the anchors deploy?
It shouldn't be too difficult to have a linear sensor of some sort so as to know how deeply the spikes are burried. With all the technology they have on this thing, I would be surprised if they didn't have that.
dude screaming about the tornado like the rest of his team doesn't see it
fearsome screaming.
That was another amazing close up shot of the power of these storms. My heart was racing watching it live. Keep up the good work and never stop chasing.
I live 30 min west of Linneus. I was watching your facebook channel for updates that night. We appreciate the work you guys do out there. It was a very crazy storm that night.
Hello from Trenton Missouri! ❤ Yesterday was wild!!!!
Yes glad everyone is OK!
Holy molly!
What a monster.
It was HUGE

Damn reed, the footage you got there is amazing, that tornado looked like the whole supercell was on the ground. Possibly one of the most insane tornado footage of all time
Appreciating the production, really engaging and informative!
