Another boat ? Instead of being a captain, your a fleet Admiral. Instead of "my first boat", this should be " my first fleet " LOL 😆 👍 Keep the video's coming, I can't wait to see what you buy next . Aircraft carrier maybe????? LOL
Receiving thumbs down beggers belief. Some people just live in a negative world, very sad. Once again buddy, great video, loving this build. Thank you for sharing your project 👍🏴
Your videos are quiet, your voice overs are soft, clear and often faintly ironical, the music is splendid and I always come away chuckling. Great fun, so meinen dank young man.
the blue plastic pieces on top of your workbench are for clamping such material like this timbers you can further clamp it if needet (with the right clamps into the holes in tthe table) with clamping them down more in the middle you can work the whole length and the leverage is not that mutch on the ends since it is centered also for those pockets you had to carve out.. buy you a forstner bit, they come in inexpensive sets with varius sizes. i imagine you have a lot more such little things to make. this kind of bits can shave larger holes without runnig out or stall. even with a hole partialy not in solid wood like you did here. also much safer as a hole saw
Enjoying your adventures, but this is RUclips, so here some unrequested advise: -when drilling holes into wood >5mm it is worth to use a wood drill and not a metal drill as you can see from the breakout. -wood on metal needs careful sealing, especially in a Northern climate and near door openings and such. The metal will condensate, and oak wood has a fairly open structure so it will soak up the moisture resulting in rot. Use wood sealer (epoxy / varnish / paint) and use glue liberally to connect it to the metal so that there are no air pockets between the wood and metal where air can condensate.
Nice work on the Oak door frame but I am confused. I don't see how they will help you seal out the weather since they do not appear to come in contact with the actual door. Congrats on that cute orange boat. Looks like that will be a lot of fun to scoot around with.
I am not a boater, but I appreciate your efforts because much of your electronics and plumbing are transferable to our vintage motor home. Your current security camera discussion is a prime example, and it is apparent your planning is intelligent and straightforward, thank you from Las Vegas, Nevada, US.
I would suggest picking up a set of Forstner Drill Bits for future use. would save you a bit of time. you can use them to create clearance holes for bolt heads quickly and easily.
Have you considered a boat lift on the platform? Similar to a trailer with a hinge on the platform and winch. You could pull small boats out of the water and up onto the platform to work on them dry. A floating boatyard!
Love the new boat. Hey, check out some videos on how to use that Japanese saw. The cuts will be even better than what your achieving now and you will be able to hold a line for ever. Amazing tool when used properly. Keep up the good work. I've always been interested in steel trawler style pleasurer craft.
An electrian told me that i should never roll up excess wire in a loop if the wire draws a lotta power like powertools etc. , because it gets extremely hot and could combust. Im sure your bilge pump doesnt fall in that category, but i allways roll up my cords in figure eight, if i plan to use them over a period etc. etc. . There you go, you are welcome mein herr, a little “noia” from 🇩🇰 😊. Fantastic channel btw.
It might be a good idea while doing the conversion kit on the motor that you bring it up onto your barge and use your handy new work bench to hold it. It would add so much anxiety for me to be doing it over that open hole into the water. If it's something you haven't done before there's already enough pressure on you without worrying about dropping things into the water. Just a thought. I agree it is a very mean looking little vessel that even with a smaller motor is going to be as fast as the size and hull can maintain safely. What a fun little craft it's going to be and perfect for buzzing up and down the river with a few friends or alone and on very little fuel... Those electronics you're adding are very cool and will make things so much easier to monitor and use. Talk about bringing your old yacht up to date with some of today's conveniences. Well done and something I'll keep in mind should I ever find the vessel I'm looking for to refit... As always your work looks excellent and is coming along nicely...
it's just a kick-ass, when he started cutting holes for bolts, I thought he would make one for fun, but he cut them all out))) when there's nothing else to do)) for this, there is a larger diameter drill for the future!!)
Excellent intro music Haven't seen a dowel joint for nearly 50 years, nice 1! Love the camera, heard about those. an imagine my self saying G'day to somebody permanently borrowing my stuff. Good stuff m8, thank you. You and yours stay safe and well.
In North America, there are 2 types of oak timber, red and white. Red is not good for boat work because it easily absorbs water through it's end grain. The water then wicks up and causes rot. Japanese saws are amazing ! You do not need such a large one for the work you are doing. You can even find some that have folding handles. The best ones are actually made in Japan. The important thing is blade thickness and tooth count. Buy a second work bench. Much easier to use 2 when working on large or long pieces of wood.
For further work you can consider using a Nobex magnetic saw guide, especially for Japanese saw. Your guid is fine but made for push saws. (In case the box is too wide for your saw blade you can use a loose shim which helps to keep a straight cut.
in the summer you could buid a scrren door tht fits your new oak frame. For the holes in the frame for the nuts ect you should buy a set of forstner drill bits they cut flat holes and even cut if the hole is a liitel outside the wood. 👍👍 So you got a tender, for the tender for your yatch? just kidding. 🤣 👍👍👍
You really need to grind back the gel coat in GRP when doing repairs and patches, You will find if you go to the patches I just saw you do, you will find you and pop them off with a scaper as the polyester resin won't stick to the gel coat layer of the GRP. Just FYI
Keep your tools clean and dent-free (jamming it ) into the wood will cause this, But like I was saying some of these Japanese use the same saw for decades.
N+1 disease ... 😂 Bikes Boats Cameras Bags Shoes ..... Its a collecting disease . Its even Genetically inherited. Very italian like one of their period sports two fifty cc motorcycles. 😎
God am I sooooo jealous of you. I wish I had your drive to do what you are doing when I was your age (I am a young 76 year old) instead of charging around the world on aircraft carriers combining both my dreams (boats and aircraft). Just remember no experience is a wasted experience and learn something new every day, and in the words of one of my favourite characters “live life and prosper”.
That will be the second door frame when the first one rots. Many folks have already pointed out all the untreated wood and what is going to happen. However, electrical work seems well done.
I have to say, it's pretty entertaining watching someone not know how to use the tools they just bought, thus making things significantly more difficult & longer...... And yet, still manages to get decent results..... ;-)

Love the color combo, beautiful boat
l would oil up those joints on the workmate, in damp places they tend to seize with rust unless yours is stainless
I would suggest picking up a set of Forstner Drill Bits for future use. would save you a bit of time. you can use them to create clearance holes for bolt heads quickly and easily.
Forstner bits are expensive, spade bits would do the same job at a 5th of the price.
I guess someone watched a little Jonas Winkler ;)
The oak frame looks really nice!
Nice job again. Enjoy your boats!

Yes, that boat is gorgeous!
Looking forward to seeing the exterior of the door stained and sealed! Good vids!
Thank you for my weekly dose of boating. I don't own one and probably never will so watching you is the next best thing. 🤓
I love the electrical equipment you are using. All of it seems to be really good quality.
Glad to see your progress. Looking good ☺️
Funny how different things are from country to country. In Oz we would call that square a rectangle. 😁
Hey, instead of buying more boats-why not take the big one out of the water for some hull correction, paint and antifouling?

Dam living the good life! I so much enjoy your clips. The scenery of Berlin is always wonderful and great music.
Bin gespannt auf das nächste Video. Grüße aus Mecklenburg
Tung Oil might be a good treatment for the new oak
Check out the Paulk Workbench. Great for the work your doing.
It kills me how close to the water edge he works on this big barge... lol. How does he not fall in!
How does he not drop tools or a crucial nut?
"Communicate with the visitors...."

Another great little video. That CMA looks cool.

Well done.....your boat is getting a good TLC 👍 tender love n care!
I just love your videos, by the time you reach EP#100 you will have your own personal marina...lol
Please lift the outboard up when its on the Vega when not in use, this is better for the lower unit of the outboard
As usual, great music choice. Godfather theme song to start, requim from Mozart at the end. See u next time!
Must’ve been the first time under the bridge with that boat, I saw the big sigh of relief! 👍👍

Hi I just found you this weekend. Been binging your episodes ever since :). Thnx!
You're clearly loosing control! Love it!

You could have put dowels in from inside using a jointer , or there are some pins u can get to mark where to put holes
Good man Fast video come
You really do inspire me!! Thank you so much. Thanks for sharing your life with us and fare winds an following sea's ✌🏻💗😊❣️
You could have saved yourself a lot of work on those relief holes by using a Forstner bit sized to the OD of the nuts.
For further work you can consider using a Nobex magnetic saw guide, especially for Japanese saw. Your guid is fine but made for push saws. (In case the box is too wide for your saw blade you can use a loose shim which helps to keep a straight cut.
Very entertaining and interesting.

good , good job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need more boat's, you lack a sailing yacht. I bought a 50 year old Albin Vega 27', perfect beginners boat. 😁👍⛵

Should have glued the joints and then used multi- clamps.

You should be using wood glue for wet areas. Don’t know if you can get it in Germany but Tightbond III
This man can work perfect
Love the new little boat. Make it your speed dingy!!
Those Japanese saws only cut on the pull stroke, that is why they cut so well.
Can you have too many boats? I think not!😂
