I have not known the game before listening to this song but out of curiosity and by luck, literally after this video, youtube recommended me a video about Canto 5 lore, and boy, it was love at first sight with that game's lore i don't really like that it's a gacha, but the OST of it is simply amazing, and this is so far, the best remix of a song that I've heard in the last few years, the impact that this delivers is huge, i hope that this remix gets more attention, because it certainly deserves it very much
I mean, it's the first gacha game of a studio that mainly focused on single-player plot-heavy games that have themes centered around acknowledging the weaknesses of the human condition but choosing to better the self regardless. They even admitted that they didn't know much about what they were doing, so it's a game first, and gacha second. That's the beautiful part about it. You can really FEEL that it's a gacha GAME, not a GACHA game.
This is probably the best mix yet for compass, the flow follows with how the end dungeon goes, slowly building up to the final crescendo of the song. Which hits way harder, especially that guitar solo at the end goddamn. This has more impact than the original since it has pacing

I do appreciate this extended mix a lot cause the official version just plays through each verse once and then snaps to the ending in 2.5 minutes total. This version really gives the time for the drama of the song to sink in and properly build up to the big conclusion

Mili uploads are really getting to the point where they are hit or miss, and those that haven't played the game are missing out on certain elements that the game amplifies the music with, like the heartbeats. I wished the official one had this much effort and quality put into it. Also, the thing this mix did that other mixes failed to do was extend the guitar parts. The song was so intense near the end, but the way that it originally fades out after the rapport of intensity just blue balls. This is the best and my favorite mix, thanks.

It’s a song that goes from slayers loneliness and how he is entertainment for the gods, to how he will now not be entertainment for the gods now that he has friends and stability. A lot of the songs within the mili slayer series are ones that end on positive notes, considering that’s the point of slayers arc and why he’s doing what he does. Sadly the goblin slayer anime fucking sucks so this song was just really wasted for no reason. I’d argue duetting solo should get more flack because it is.. ridiculously short.

This is phenomenal! I love the way you layered the climax segment onto the ending; really helped keep the intensity going a bit longer, which I felt the original needed. Absolutely fantastic decision there.
One of the big things about Compass was the drumming beat of the whales heart, it balances it out and grounds the song into the a more mid range. It just gives it more structure making the absence of it all the more powerful, pulling your attention to the words being said in that moment. The Mili version is good enough without it by far but I so wished they kept the drumming in...maybe it was added afterwards by EIM?
