An underrated arc of Batista was when Doakes shot Bayard to finish a mission from his former life. He wrestled with his guilt and you could see how it killed him to admit to the IA investigator that his friend and partner's gun was the first one to be shot.
The unit tried to harass him for snitching... and it was Doakes who put them in their place, showing how even though it was him who Batista informed IA about... he respected Batista's integrity and honesty.

The casting was INCREDIBLE for this show. Batista had the best heart, such a loyal and good friend. Love him
I love how out of all “normal” people, Dexter forms the most traditional brotherly bond
They should've made a spinoff with Batista and Quinn. They're so funny together, great chemistry

Always found it funny when Angel called Dexter “socio”
It could mean several things. He could be referring to dexter as a sociopath, but socio translates to partner so thats my main theory as to why he called him that.

I wish they would have shown more of his reaction to him realizing dexter was the butcher at the end of it all

I love him trying to explain God to Dexter. He got close. Kinda. Okay not really, but he tried.

Was a great idea to have Angel as the member of the original cast who helped make the connection to Dexter in "New Blood". It had a lot of flaws but having him in the mix was great.

These are NOT the best scenes. A brilliant one was in series 3 where he makes an excuse by phone to Barbara why he has to cancel their date. Another was when Dexter was trying to tell him Lila was using him in S2 , but he doesn't care
Angel is probably close to my favourite character of all time, he’s such a good friend and funny guy

@@RayBarK1 New blood's ending retconned Dexter's growth from the end of the second season when he decided to turn himself in instead of killing and framing Doakes. The show ended by destroying 6 seasons worth of character growth for Dexter. New Blood started off well, but the last episode utterly ruined not only that series but the original as well.

Honestly New Blood would have benefited from having Angel and Joey in most of the episodes working out where Dexter really was. The final episode could even have Joey taking Logan’s place as Dexter final innocent victim signifying his complete and utter lack of humanity anymore.

Oh - so the splatter of blood super far away from the victim’s other splatters is someone else’s blood? I can see why you needed a giant display set up at the crime scene.
It’s to visualize what happened, had that blood drop not been there it could lead to something hidden, they really use that stuff
