    Hi Chris. I have 550xp and love it for small stuff and limbing. However, I am not fond of the smaller curf and narrow chain compared to the 3/8 chain that you have on the 572. I find the larger chain easier to file. With that said, I would suggest that perhaps the 562 xp may be better for you as a smaller lighter saw than the 572. The one advantage is that you can use the same bar and chain as your 572.

      Red maple is what is most commonly referred to as swamp maple.

    • @InTheWoodyard
      @InTheWoodyard  3 года назад

      A lot of trees have a local name applied to them and swamp is a common one! I have heard of swamp willows and swamp oaks and even swamp butt. HAAA!

      Or even silver maples, rock maples, soft maples, and sugar maples too.

    I have a few saws, the “cheapest “ is Holzfforma 660 but I really like it actually, but my 550xp mkii is my favorite of any saw I’ve ever owned, if it make sense, it’s the saw I reach for, AND it’s so easy on fuel with all that performance, great video guys

      Yes that is right a little saw makes you push it more. I think the Husqvarna big saw is a 3120 and no I think that is overkill for what I do. 120 CCs is a huge saw!

      Plan is to use the small saw as a training saw to whip my crap back into shape. Like weight lifting, go for reps and then increase the weight. By winter I should have no problem running my 372xp clone saw all day.
