  • Imperium Surrectum 0.6 included some pretty serious nerfs to ranged units, especially lower tier units like Greek Archers that have been relegated to "levy" status. I figured I should take a closer look at them and see exactly how I feel about the changes.

    Additional Area of Recruitment Info:
    1) Phalanxes:
1.1) Deuteroi (basic Phalanx at t2 recruiting / t2 barracks, 13 morale, 16 melee attack, 30 defense) are available in Epirus, in the cities of Ambrakia, Kichyros, Korkyra, and Passaron.
1.2) Ambrakiote Phalangites (elite Phalanx at t3 recruiting / t3 barracks, 16 morale, 18 melee attack, 36 defense) are available in Ambrakia alone.
As phalanxes were professional troops and hard to organize, they don't appear as widely as hoplites in AoR, and you won't find them in the main territories of The Antigonid's Kingdom.

Dueteroi (basic Phalanx at t2 recruiting / t2 barracks, 13 morale, 16 melee attack, 30 defense) are available in Epirus @Ambrakia, Kichyros, Korkyra, and Passaron. Currently, there aren't any in Antigonid lands and I'm not seeing any specific, regional variants.

I'd take a longer look at Crete and the Boiotians. Both have very solid hoplites, the Boiotians have a nice Thereuophori variant. There's also a jav-tossing heteroi on Crete. I'd suggest that Crete is probably a better recruitment target then Rhodes even.

how do you show the gold below the city name on the campaign map?

Under the gameplay settings, there are actually 2 pages, and if you click over to the 2nd one settlement labels have options there.

You aren't wrong, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
