I live in the heartland/midwest of the US. I so absolutely love your show, and have watched everything available to watch. What a great pair of realtors. Bringing people joy one house at a time 😊
I’m completely in disbelief. If the 1.3 was buying something absolutely stunning that would make a difference but knowing you can afford 1.4 and only having to spend 750 plus some refurbishment or building work, the total would be way under the 1.3. Some people are impossible to read.
Glad for the couples though I think the wealthy couple was mad not to go for the stunning bungalow within walking distance for their son. There seemed to be a ton of room for their family just as it was, and with saving 600,000+ pounds maybe they could enjoy life a little more and not work so hard. Sometimes with these shows I shake my head about what we "need" in a house. It was telling that the young couple was totally fine with airport and train, but the birds were a bit annoying for the wealthy fellow. I don't know about anyone else, but my hubby and I reminisce with great joy about our first humble home. More isn't necessarily happier. Cheers everyone.
The last property the wealthier couple looked at was gorgeous! I don't know how much room they think they need, but there's no way they're looking at their forever house and that slipped out when he wondered what the cap on the street value was. They're designers and investors; they'll be in this house 5 years max.
That one couple didn’t want rustling trees, singing birds, well, I have a great place for them smack in the middle of the Sahara Desert! No trees, no birds, no life for miles! Lol
Phil, you make it look easy! Lovely cake. Really nice couples, easy going, clear, no muddling about. Kirstie is an absolute rock. I'd love to see the 70's house after they do the reno!
I'm always amazed and irritated by people with a budget over $800K who are so picky! The occasional car and a road that one can barely hear (first house), or (bungalow) the plot being "too small" in an amazingly Large plot, the rooms "too small" that are actually quite large as well. Money just seems to make people into entitled jerks. Contrast them to the first time buyers: not only road noise, but trucks, airplanes, dogs barking....none of that even fazed them. All they want is decent parking and an extra room for an office. Yes, I've worked in RE and it's the same everywhere. Give me humble first-time buyers!
A couple spending over a million dollars is most likely going to live in the house much longer than a couple spending 200k though. If I’m spending they much, I want to get as much as possible because I do not want to move anytime soon.
In the end, the Interior designer and creative director didn't go for what they claimed they wanted, a "project property .... to let their creativity run wild" ..... "a large house and great plot but needs a lot of love" ..... but went for the safe and boring option ...... WOW! So much about wanting to put their own mark" on their "forever home"
1.3 for that junk house that will cost a bundle to make into something decent - every door and window to be changed, entire rear facade - just in time for the crash
They can do all of that over time though. They don’t have to do everything all at once. If they had bought that bungalow, they would’ve had to do all that and even more. They would have to add a second floor ffs. They don’t have to do any extensions in the second house. It’s all cosmetic.
I suspect it will be great with just a face lift, and amazing with a full reno. Not junky, just dated. Since they are designers, perhaps they'll get some professional courtesy deals!
The 70's house..looks...to be easy enough to Update & liked the size. That BIG Lvg. Rm!! What I grew up in..THAT would have been a Mansion to me! I could Even live with that kitchen. (I lived in a 70's Ranch Style house for bout 4 years, dark paneling on the bottom half of the walls, wallpaper in the dining room..Not Enough plug outlets..lol. Nice back yard, covered patio w/porch swing...we liked it). And the one level Bungalow….so it's off a street, with THAT BACK YARD! WHOOO'S gonna be out front anyway!?? Nice back yard w/a Nice game rm/studio/or convert into small guest house.
That house with the parking across the green... carrying shopping in from the car? In the rain? Getting a baby or small child into the house with shopping in the rain? What were the developers thinking?
Forget the developers, the current council or HOA needs to redo the landscape and add parking out front. All that lawn can easily be turned into asphalt.
It’s a long term family home though. If they live in it for 20 plus’s years, then it doesn’t really matter and the value will maintain over time. It’s not going to go down in value over the course of 20 plus years.
Unbelievable how (some of) the viewers get (really) peed off when the "punters" don't opt for the house they, the viewers would choose for themselves. We only get to see a smidge of their lives, perspectives and choices here.
"put our own stamp on" ... what does that mean? A house / flat is an object that shelters you ... hang up paintings / sketches you have bought, line those shelves with loved books you have read & those yet to read ... those things are your 'stamp' ...
I Would! Yank those old swag curtains down! Some fresh paint, wood flooring/large rugs, new carpet in bedrooms. I'd be Fine! 😊 What I...Grew Up In....THAT... was A Dang MANSION to ME!
People who have more than a million pounds to spend on a house always think they can get more than what's on the market. They feel entitled and hardly ever take one these houses. Instead, they use Phil and Kirsty to learn the market. Then, they dump them and go out and find a house on their own. In short, most of them are players.
But that’s not what happened here. And I know of at least three other million dollar plus searches that ended up with a house that was shown on the show. Also keep in mind that most of these searches are looking for long term houses so they’re pickier.
oooooh, as a nurse working at night, I would not consider that little house with the parking so far away. Nope. I think I could learn to live with the external noises...but a walk of that distance in the dark...when Phil said, well, you can "see" the parking spot..not dedicated, so who knows if when she comes home late there will be a spot for her. Haven't seen the ending, so I am waiting to see what they choose...
It must be complicated to co-own a house with a partner who is not a spouse. Legally, they are roommates. If one dies without a will, the other will suddenly share ownership with the decedent's parents!
this show always leaves me with a sense of hope and optimism. even when things do not turn out, I feel happy. thanks to all.

Watched again and am SO GRATEFUL for these episodes! THANK YOU! I absolutely LOVE this show. It makes my day!
Thanks for the quality download.
That 750k bungalow was gorgeous! And the road noise was too much? I heard maybe 2 cars go by. Oh, well. Thanks so much for the upload!
Agree.
I had a bit of a groan when they said they would have to ADD ON to the 2,500 square foot house to make it fit their needs.
I’m completely in disbelief. If the 1.3 was buying something absolutely stunning that would make a difference but knowing you can afford 1.4 and only having to spend 750 plus some refurbishment or building work, the total would be way under the 1.3. Some people are impossible to read.
I like Liam and Camille. I hope they will be very happy in their new home. Happy baking! Camille
She's obviously a talented baker...That cake she made looked quite impressive.
they were adorable, and what a nice touch the cake was
Milla is also a half decent Nurse 😊

I thought the same thing., especially the birds. I thought the birds were delightful. How can you not like birds.😀
I've noticed that the higher the budget, the pickier people are over the weirdest things.
Wasn't the guy remembering his earlier comment about road noise and saying that about the bird noise tongue in cheek?
@@karent-s7639 Yes, it was a joke!
Rich people on this show are the MOST annoying airheads.
The thought that kept running through my mind is.... with 3 young kids, don't they drown out any other noise? 🙃
Thank you for posting! #AlwaysHereForPhilAndKirstie

The bungalow was a magnificent house. So much cheaper and very stylish. Some people I will never understand
The rooms were not as big as the 70's house, and I loved it's feeling of space.
That one couple didn’t want rustling trees, singing birds, well, I have a great place for them smack in the middle of the Sahara Desert! No trees, no birds, no life for miles! Lol
He was clearly joking, lol.

i enjoyed the house hunting so much 1st time to come accross this😍

Imagine the utility bills they will get (even without the pool).
Thank you!
Kirstie's first house was beautiful but that 2nd house was amazing ! Wow!
Liam....life and soul of the party. Christ he'd put years on ya
The wealthy couple...🙄

"our kids are pretty loud as well" -- darling, you're the parent, you can do something about that
Yes, a light spanking and some duct tape, and you’re good to go.
Karen’s gorgeous white dress!
Four Oaks estate has an annual £10k private estate up keep charge !!!!...so £20k fixed costs yearly !

Forget the developers, the current council or HOA needs to redo the landscape and add parking out front. All that lawn can easily be turned into asphalt.
They likely have excellent access by public transport and wouldn't need a car for daily life. Often a car is only used for leisure.
Get a cart and an umbrella? And don’t go out when it’s raining. Duh wtf is wrong with you?!
It will be possible to drop off and pick up right at the house, just not park there.
@@thehungrygoldfish Don't go out in the rain. In the UK? Are you stupid or just ignorant.
I can guarantee.... the amount of cash you'd have to spend to give that family what they want..... they'll never, ever get back. YOU'RE IN BIRMINGHAM!
It’s a long term family home though. If they live in it for 20 plus’s years, then it doesn’t really matter and the value will maintain over time. It’s not going to go down in value over the course of 20 plus years.
But if you are happy there and aren't planning to sell, why not have it the way you like it?
The all want to be near roads to be able to escape. But they never want to see or hear those
No safety fence around the pool is very strange.
There's no possible way, ever, I'd pay 1.4 to live in Birmingham.
Neither did they!
These pair are fantastic, fabulous, need I say more?
You guts rock🎉
Unbelievable how (some of) the viewers get (really) peed off when the "punters" don't opt for the house they, the viewers would choose for themselves. We only get to see a smidge of their lives, perspectives and choices here.
Can someone tell me for the 1.3 mil house what the utility bills could incur?
The birds are a bit annoying 😩
The market is bonkers, how can the prices have increased by 23% in a single year? That is surely an unsustainable, bubble waiting to happen.
hes enjoying her cake so much😂
"put our own stamp on" ... what does that mean? A house / flat is an object that shelters you ... hang up paintings / sketches you have bought, line those shelves with loved books you have read & those yet to read ... those things are your 'stamp' ...
Watching this from the US, it is very interesting. Here no one would touch the overpriced 1970s house except with a bulldozer
I Would! Yank those old swag curtains down! Some fresh paint, wood flooring/large rugs, new carpet in bedrooms. I'd be Fine! 😊 What I...Grew Up In....THAT... was A Dang MANSION to ME!
I would hope that a 1.4 million.pound house would be detached
geez, how big of a house do this couple need?
what makes that i.m.o. ugly big house so expensiv???
The one with that lovely garden by the woodland and fields was really nice.

These are little sleepy towns in England... pretty safe! Besides, probably that big husband of hers can walk her to the car.
It must be complicated to co-own a house with a partner who is not a spouse. Legally, they are roommates. If one dies without a will, the other will suddenly share ownership with the decedent's parents!
Actually in the UK de facto couples have the same legal rights to property as married couples since 2020.
@@waltonkate: Oh, interesting! Thanks.
In Canada, it also doesn't matter if you're married or not. The law is the same in both cases.
Depends on the country. In Sweden cohabiting couples (sambo) have similar rights to married ones.
So, both couples got the home they wanted - and would not have, had it not for Kirstie & Phil.
What happened to the people spending ,more money ?
funny, looking for a quiet place to fill with 3 noise lively children...😂
(16: 08)... 'new money' décor. (No taste).
1.4 million? Just buy some fucking land and build a five bedroom house.
Stop Americanising our English language.
The word is pronounced
“Shed-jool”.
Not!
Sked-ule.
😂 I know exactly what you mean, my pet peeve is privacy but hey ho language is always changing I suppose 🤷♀️
