we are looking for a frameless glass partition for our shower area to separate the wet and dry area - i liked the one done in your house - where did you source it from - would appreciate having the contacts
I notice many homes in Kerala have two separate kitchens. What is the purpose of having a formal kitchen in addition to the everyday kitchen? I'm curious to understand if the formal kitchen is primarily decorative or if it serves a specific function. Having two kitchens seems like it may present space constraints, so I'd be interested to learn more about the rationale behind this architectural tradition. Please educate me on the cultural significance and utility of double kitchens in Kerala homes.
Not an expert in this, but I believe the "formal" one is more a show piece (mostly open ) but can be used for , say, baking as well as any cooking involving less use of spice. The other one is less pretentious and where things do happen . By hiding the daily use kitchen away you can stop the smoke sticking on to the walls, curtains and such. Lastly, the formal could be used for daily family dinners
