Think the best thing about bear ghost is it's never just a song, they tell whole stories

Fun fact: they played this live and threw in a part of “Heffelumps and woozels” from Winnie the Pooh, it was seamless bliss. I’m also glad you remembered The Dear Hunter :)

Ugh, I miss this. Bear Ghost shows were the best. I don't know if they still play shows very often, but they'd play all the time when I lived down there. What a great band

Do you happen to know if they pointed at audience members during the "AND THIS MAN HERE" bit? Because that would be so fun. (I also ask this as someone who recently did this song as part of a Halloween Drag Show and did That Exact Thing).

I'd say you described that song super accurately, it's fun and playful and works well despite being weird.
    Loved your analysis!
I've only recently discovered Bear Ghost and I love their playfulness, definitely more people need to listen to their songs.
Also, I don't know if you've done one on that already, but "Necromancin dancin" by them is also great!

I have seen the name Bear Ghost thrown around a bunch, in particular in The Dear Hunter fan groups, I never managed to check them out. Seems like that was a mistake. This is incredible, time to dive into the discography.

I don't know if I could do any better than your description, but the first thing that came to mind to me was a Saturday Morning Cartoon as scored by Danny Elfman (or someone doing their best Elfman impression), but that doesn't capture stuff like the pop-rock element either. Not sure if I've had this much fun listening to a song in a long time. I don't know if I have any critical insight to add, but a smile never left my face through the entire runtime of this track. Will definitely have to check out these guys more.

If you're going to check out The Dear Hunter, unless you plan on doing all 5-acts back-to-back I'd recommend starting with either Act. IV or V, which I think are (by a distance) their best. They're just one of those bands that's gotten better with time and experience, where their skill (both in playing and writing) has significantly increased from their early years. Although not part of the Acts, their Color Spectrum is superb too. I've also been immensely enjoying Dirt Poor Robins lately, a band I found via your channel and whom are obviously influenced by TDH. I have loved both of their last two albums.

Hey, just so you’re aware, the primary writer for this song (Thomas Knight) actually left the band in 2019 to bring awareness to predatory behavior on the part of the remaining members. Since then, the band has actively tried to erase his contributions from new fans’ awareness (removing his name from credits, taking down pictures from social media that have him in them, etc), while also withholding a good chunk of his royalties.

Zaireeka is the eighth studio album by American rock band The Flaming Lips, released on October 28, 1997 by Warner Bros. Records. The album consists of 4 CDs designed so that when played simultaneously on 4 separate audio systems, they would produce a harmonic or juxtaposed sound; the discs could also be played in different combinations, omitting 1, 2 or 3 discs. Each of its 8 songs consists of 4 stereo tracks, one from each CD.
Dude 🤷🏻‍♂️it's literally is crazy because you can play them 2 at a time of 4 at a time and even in any combination...
Absolutely a crazy concept but it does work...

Congratulations my friend!! ...Now here you have your best new year gift!!....Today it is very difficult to find reactors like you who have never reacted to the best singer in the world, Dimash Kudaibergen, who has 7 octaves and 3 semitones vocal range (An alien) ... Maybe someone made you a request to react to Dimash, but you have not had time .... I am going to dare to recommend that you meet Dimash, because when you do it for the first time, your life as reactor will change forever ....For example, the number of views that you have today, it will increase by 300% in a matter of a few hours and you will get a lot of new subscribers.....But when you react to Dimash, don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did Dimash from the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one .... You can also start with the other famous live version of that song that Dimash did the following year 2018 when he was invited to the famous Slavic Bazzar festival in Belarus .... Both performances are from another planet....Your life will never be the same again, after reacting for the first time to Dimash...And your first reaction to Dimash will be something very special, so I recommend that you do the best job of your life as a reactor, because that first video will be seen by thousands of people around the world, maybe millions...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash, but if you don't want to, that's fine...
