Most of the kayak companies do a great job of resolving any issues.

I didnt inspect my first lynx and later after unboxing it it was cracked in several places and had a deep drag mark down to the foam core, since I signed for it already shipping company took no responsibility, but after alot of headache and phone calls the shop where i ordered it steppped in and gave me a new hull, i drove there myself to pick it up this time, which took all day but well worth it. Never shipping a kayak again.

Nothing major is a huge relief. I’ve seen some terrible situations.

Thanks for ordering. We just put those up on the website and we need to make an announcement letting everyone know they are ready now.

My buddy ordered a tandem pdl style from Brooklyn Kayaks. He had to meet the truck driver down the road because driver refused to go down his road. Dirt road and muddy because of rain as well. So he was in a hurry and did a quick inspection but didn't do the underside of it. We went with him and his wife with our OTs . He got out to middle of reservoir and it started taking on water. So we had to do a rescue of him and wife. Once we recovered it, because, it sank coompletely, we realized it had a huge crack under neath at the rudder area. Their rudders dont deploy like OTs, they are just mounted underside and stick out so if you set it flat on the ground it actually rests on the rudder. He ended up buying 2 new solo kayaks and had to trash that one.

I’ve heard a few bad things about those kayaks. Of course all companies have duds but that’s an experience that will make you shop elsewhere forever.

I bought mine at cabelas and didn’t inspect it. The pulley for the rudder dropper arm did not have cables wrapping correctly. I watched videos and spent hours trying to figure it out til someone in a Facebook group video called me and helped me get it fixed.

I just received my 106 pdl about a week ago. Had a few minor scratches but nothing crazy. Figure I’m going to scratch it up myself and not worth the headache of sending it back.

Exactly! It’s going to get scratched anyways. Somehow people often forget that part.
