I mean its great sportsmanship but not so great medical decision. He should have let him take the water bottle so that he could drink while running. This can be very dangerous and lead to organ failure. Organ failure - while they can get transplants, the person suffers on the waiting lists for long periods, and even when they do finally get an organ with a good enough match, they have to then remain on immunosupressants for the rest of their life (which itself causes issues).
The race /Olympics is def not as important as ones health.

That comment, "be kind for no reason" speaks volumes. Oftentimes, people are kind because they expect some sort of reward or recognition for being kind. For so many of us, we can't be kind for the sake of being kind. For so many people, there is no kindness out of the goodness of their hearts.

If you're being kind with the expectation of a reward or recognition, are you really truly being kind? The question should be, are you being kind for altruistic reasons? Or is there an ulterior motive of some sort? Are you doing it for a transactional reason? And even if there is a motive or a reason, those reasons could vary from benign to nefarious.

It's so rare to see opposing players help each other up in football. Most of the time opponents step over each other and help up their own teammates, so to see competitors help each other up is so heartwarming. Such a great show of sportsmanship that's rarely seen in the league these days.
