    Here's a tip for everyone that just came to mind.
    When designing a UI and you want to have a different column for different elements embedded in a screen or artboard, you can actually create a new artboard as a container, inside the main artboard and add the column to that child artboard.
    Now you can snap things accordingly to that child artboard with a different column, even add specific constraints to it if you will be duplicating and changing contents.

  • @Ziplock9000
    @Ziplock9000 Год назад

    All of that can be done with normal objects and does not need artboards. The clone and change, the multiple export. The only thing it gives you is a line of text above.

    • @BrownBearProductions
      @BrownBearProductions  Год назад +1

      The best way I can think of, if it works, is create on large artboard. Add the guides to that artboard then create artboards within the artboard (make sure they are inside the large one in the layer panel) and the guides should be viewable across them I believe

    • @chriss2595
      @chriss2595 Год назад

      @@BrownBearProductions Thx a lot! It's a bit awkward this way, but it's the best solution at this moment I think. Adobe Illustrator doesn't need an artboard behind the artboards - although I like to work with Affinity.

  • @lgude
    @lgude 2 года назад

    Ah really helpful because you connect the tool to graphic intent so I have a clear subbedunderstanding of why I would use artboards. The suggestion that they can be used to keep the development of an entire project together is brilliant. Hi, thanks for video, when i create a postcard and a flyer on 2 art boards, should the artboards have the original sizes of each item or how do you work with item sizes and artboard sizes ? is item size = artboard size ?

    • @BrownBearProductions
      @BrownBearProductions  9 месяцев назад

      You can do two things. You can either create the artboard the same size as the item itself to get a full view of how things would look. (I usually do this but it can be harder on the device)
      Or you could make the artboard smaller but the same ratio and then when you export you can export as the size you’d want the final product to be
