Being a fan of Megadeth since day one I had hoped Kiko would stay in Megadeth until Megadeth ended , sad to see him go i thought he was the best fit since Marty left . Wish him well …

I think Kiko got worn down from Dave's heavy fist, like all of the other members. I am happy he sold his stuff from Megadeth, like he said he has 100's of other guitars in Brazil at his parents house. I can say this much Dave will likely never find another musician who can write a Conquer or Die, yeah that's includes Marty, good luck Kiko as if he needs it lol
Kiko was a great addition, but who knows the truth on what happened..but he helped get Teemu who is also an awesome guitar player..

I was blessed enough to purchase one of kiko’s guitars off reverb myself. He will go down in history as one of the greats.. His talent is unmatched..

@@danwoods4269 I got the yellow 93 Japanese fender Strat scalloped fretboard. It’s a malmsteen model with the flight case with his name on it a letterhead with Kiko’s signature on it . Kiko finally contacted me and said that it was his guitar and he put it on Reverb in 2020.. crazy

Whatever his reasons it's his decision. Family is more important than touring, and I'm sure Kiko will find his way to other projects. He's a superb talent and thanks to his decade long tenure in Megadeth is a big name now. He may also want to go in a different musical direction. He's an extremely seasoned and educated musician. I've heard him play Brazilian jazz fusion. We're talking about a guy so good he could have played in Return to Forever with Chick Corea or Weather Report. Just a world class player. I can't wait to see what he does next musically and wish him the best. Personally, I couldn't imagine touring with a band like Megadeth for one year, never mind a decade. Not because I don't like the music, but all that loud, aggressive thrash can really wear on the nerves. I hope Kiko has taken every precaution to protect his hearing. Newsted lost a lot of hearing with Metallica.

Kiko needs to make money while being at home rising his kids.

Yes. I was watching some videos about this new. Few days later, reading a new i found a link to kiko's Reverb store. The price was fine so i didn't think twice and bought it

Kiko helped Teemu, in his house, such a nice e professional guy.
Kiko is touring again so I guess all that family stuff got sorted.
Kiko is overqualified for this band, he was probably bored to death.
Kiko gave some hints in Brazilian podcasts lately. Basically there were two reasons, artistically-wise he felt bored in Megadeth and said that he felt it'd be going on stage and playing 90% of the time the same songs.
Second reason was his personal life. He said Megadeth is super demanded and even during the period they're supposed to be home, they ended up stretching the tours or booking interlude tours so it was really hard for him to be the father he wanted to.

Kiko don’t have to worry about money. Hell, he could be a top tier guitar teacher and charge 200$ an hour. Work 5 hrs a day and then be with his family. Thats 5000$ a week and almost a quarter million a year. More than enough to live like a king in his home country. Go into work at 10 am be off by 3:00. I’d take that gig any day of the week.
He can make solo shows, and sell online corses, and make this money per day. Money is not am isue for him
Suspicious how he quit after the Marty shows. I believe that was a slap in the face for him. It showed that no matter what he would always be just another guitarist in the long line of players Dave has had…personally, I thought it was disrespectful to do that to Kiko.

Its well known that Marty wont be back in Megadeth, im sure that kiko wants to be with his kids instead of on the road all the time.
Marty and Kiko were guitar-bros long before those shows, and Kiko was a big fan of Marty and the Rust in Peace era of Megadeth as stated in prior interviews (he often cites that Megadeth tour as one of his first concerts when he was a teen). and even prior to those shows Marty had recorded a guest part on Kiko's solo album, and you can also see on Kiko's youtube channel the backstage rehearsal and jam sessions with Marty for both Budokan and Wacken.
@@fenrysk if Dave thought Kiko was an adequate replacement that had enough clout to overshadow Marty’s contributions there would be no need to invite Marty back on stage. By doing so it’s an admission that Marty is still and will always be the “best” player or fan favorite. You can see in the look on Kiko’s face when Marty was talking to Dave in that publicized back stage speech about how Megadeth is essentially Dave and will always be about Dave no matter who is in the band that he was unhappy. Personally, I would feel a deep hit to my ego if I were chosen as the replacement then relegated to the background again to spotlights the guy I replaced, it’s only natural to feel that. Compound that with the idea that this will never be “my” band but Dave’s band with me as just another replacement seriously compromises the ultimate role in the grand scheme. Kiko will never be seen as an equal just a hired hand. For such an accomplished player that wants to be recognized as a revered player in his own right, that would instigate the desire to make the split so he can create his own future. I’m sure the family thing contributed to his decision but it also creates a perfect scapegoat to avoid admitting the obviously truth that he will never out grow the shadow Marty cast in this bands history…that’s my take.

I sent him s message thru Instagram,thanking him for being dedicated a true profesional ,his posts about the little shit of touring snd life in megadeth was awesome ,Marty has nuthing to say ever,just stood ther look at what he said about Nicks death ,basicly nuthing,a cold self centered,abd when he comes back to play in japan thats fine but it felt like Kiko was allways being compared to this guitarist that is really a pop type player,Kiko got the grammy his solo are sick on new album tornado is ok but Kiko made dave play better write better he was the best guitarist thet had and Marty comes back to get noticed cause he is nuthing special in USA that is why he lives in Japan ,so i told Kiko that i heard Dave us ready to write new album and asked his band for ideas that was weird i think he was sending a message to Kiko to write album with him this last one shoul d have got a grammy and i said i hope you go record with megadeth caus like it or not ! You should be there to go to hall of fame and fuck Marty he should join poison! I have seen Megadeth in oakland day on green in beginning and with every guitarist Kiko was the best ,the band with dirk and james there tight ,Dave Mustaine goes out live diesnt fuck ariund he allways brings it ,rip Nick what i am trying to say kiko sent message back a couple hours later and said Thank you Tim ! i always tought it was the opposite way. they used megadeth to get really famous. once they record an album they get payed for whole life. and megadeth is not a little local band. be honest, how manny people would know broderic or drover brothers or even marty if they didnt play in megadeth? everyone is watching wintersun videos since teemu is in the band. be real
It’s probably that and I’m sure the guitarist’s have their own ideas they would like to use and Dave won’t allow any of it just like Metallica did to Jason after awhile they are disillusioned and just say I’m done..
@@4md17they obviously benefit from being in Megadeth too; otherwise nobody would do it.
But the problem is.... they end of sacrificing and putting in too much and getting back too little, and it doesn't seem worth it.
Not to take away from Dave. He's awesome. His music is awesome. And I like Megadeth far more than I like Metallica and some other bands. But, touring and a band is too exhausting for talented folks to be basically surrendering their life for somebody else's glory and benefit. Not to mention how complicated amd stressful it must be to deal with Mustaine on a long-term basis...
He doesn't want to work with the old man again, I guess.

Metallica had trouble with bass players Megadeth with guitar players So James and Dave plus Lars are not too different because are bullying guys ( James ,Lars,Dave and a little but Kirk) 💩 persons they can be nice with fans but on tunning room the history is too different .
The same thing with Ronnie James Dio ( R.I.P) but sadly a demon guy with his musicians even Ritchie Blackmore said ( he's not a saint too ) but on a Interview spoken about Ronnie Dio :" he's a nice hoster when i go to his house but sometimes he show another side was like a Monster he laughed 😅
Metallica had trouble with bass players? Cliff died and Jason is only one who left the band. Megadeth has troubles with guitarists, drummers and bass players. Three original members and one bassist left vs 8 guitarists, 3 bassists, 7 drummers.. Dont compare :D

Your hypothesis was that maybe the reason for his departure was because they made him play through modelers… dude.

@@gitarman666 also btw, open source, Kikos last solo project was mixed by nolly. The creator of neural dsp archetype nolly and ggd cabzilla, nolly bass library etc. I think they never made public what they used on the album.
