I've never seen Kevan Kenney do an interview. He's really thoughtful.
His idea of a push and pull on people's spirits since lockdown very much rings true. Love watching Chvrches interviews, the band are always so chilled and keen to talk the detail.
Absolutely awesome interview. This band has had something special for a long time, and now they are evolving it into major force of alt rock.

It's amazing how beautifully Lauren Mayberry has aged. Even today with little makeup she looks absolutely gorgeous; truly stunning. One of the most naturally beautiful women I have ever seen. She is perfect.
Dude, she's in the middle of her 30s fds. "Aged" could be good whiskey. She's still freaking young lass.
what a great interviewer.. reminds me of sean evans-- asks smart, well thought-of questions that they haven't already been asked 100x before.. really brought out the best of Lauren and Martin.. good stuff !
Never watched Martin being interviewed before, but does he always talk like he's microdosing? All these profound insights! Agree with everyone else about Kevan. Dude is sharp. And clearly a genuine fan.

At 5:40 I know exactly what Lauren is talking about because I've ALWAYS loved Clearest Blue for example but it was renewed and rejuvenated when Heartstopper featured it in Episode 3. Now I listen to it every single day again like I used to when it first came out. I love CHVRCHES so much.
I love Lauren Mayberry. She is such an awesome singer and she’s from Scotland. Her birthday is October 7 and mine is the eighth I wonder why I love her.
All the band members are Scottish, including Jonny.

For the past month and I'm sure more, I've been getting into this band CHVRCHES. I perhaps actually haven't scratched the surface of the amount of songs they have out and available. I'm slowly listening and re listening to a few of their songs. (Most of their songs). lol. I hope you keep writing and singing and having fun much longer. Sorry to sound selfish. The mysterious man who found "drinking bleach down on the beach" problematic was clearly Hideo Kojima. This song is probably written for his next video game as its so narrative driven, they worked on Death Stranding and that features a beach, plus the Japanese are careful about such dark imagery.
Would love to see a collab of them again in DS2. But I'm not quite as sure that this Kojima would dislike this one. I actually can quite picture him just "wow, that's perfect. How it wasn't written by me?".
And you know... Kojima is the guy who give a greenlight to a scene where a BABY is f**king shot and we see that little thing bleeding on the floor.
Anyway... I would love to have a little more Chvrches in the second game, it was such an amazing surprise to me on the credits of the first game (I just recently finished it this year on PC).
