That digitally created sound doesn't even make sense considering that there are no real gears in drive mode and the motor just keeps climbing up in RPM.

A quick message to 'We Are M': you still make some greats cars, but you really need to reduce the weight of your M cars. The new M2 weighs over 1700kg, which is ridiculously high for a 'small' sports coupe, and the XM over 2.7 tonnes? That's just embarrassing for supposedly the second bespoke M car in history (after the glorious M1).
For common people mover cars EVs will still be pushed for the foreseeable future as so much money has already been spent for the giant battery pack change. EVs do have applications that make sense for some people. With that said I'm not interested in a full pagan BEV.
They are not switching completely to e-fuels. Electric will still be the main priority in the industry. If E-fuels come they will be mostly for existing cars or some niche models, by that time the majority of new cars will already be electric.

There is no full i4M anytime soon. They only built a development prototype to research their next generation drivetrain technology
