This is so on the nose. Immediately when I heard this theme, I knew this engine was pure evil, like the snake in paradise, deceiving, ingratiating and manipulating. If you ever want an evil character to be underlined, you play a bossa nova in A minor.

Diesel 10's plan would've been more serious had Devious Diesel been with Diesel 10 to help destroy the buffers. Splatter and Dodge were just there as comedic relief.
In my variation of the show (Nick Wilde and Friends), Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare On Elm Street would be Diesel since both are evil, so that makes sense.

You had good reason to be scared of him. He is by far one of the most evil engines on the Island of Sodor. He is very spiteful, holds grudges against others who do him perceived wrongs, and his methods of manipulation are practically unrivaled.
I think Diesel maybe, just maybe, another favorite character I like of the franchise - both in the TV show _and_ from the original stories of the Railway Series.

Diesel 10 has brute force, but Devious Diesel has brains and cunning. If they joined forces, the other engines would be given a run for their money.
