Did my teas yesterday and got a 76.5 on my math section, I always get mixed up on my area and perimeter and I’m More than sure I got those wrong. Crucial to know for the math section: Order of operations Area and perimeter Conversion of decimals, percentages, fractions A bit of statistics with the skews The metrics system: Kilo, Hecto, Deka, (whole number), Deci, Centi, Millie (The teas calculator does include the conversion of percentage!) Overall this video is very much like the actual exam.
I watched through the whole video and got a clear understanding of all the problems. I jotted down a few formulas and i actually am remembering them. Absolutely love Smart Edition.

I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for this very helpful informative video! I scored extremely how in my math portion of TEAS exam that I took this past Thursday (3/16) I passed the test! Honestly I probably would've done terrible in the math portion had I not watched this video. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart
@@josefinaluna4236 the math part yes! So similar I literally just flew through that section and scored extremely high thanks to this video. Now I watched a science video too but it was nothing like the exam. So just study all the body systems, learn mitosis and meiosis, learn the cell and all of its organelles, how to read an element on the periodic chart with it protons and neutrons, know what ionic and covalent is.
Im super nervous to take teas exam in 2 weeks. But this video is EXTREMELY detailed & i love it. This lady is amazing. She literally makes it sound so easy. Great tips as well. Ill be back to post my results. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾❤ future RN

On Question 3, to get a faster answer, you can multiply 22% to whatever option answer numbers it gives you. Then you’ll get your answer. Just a thought if you want to do it shorter.

@@stephanieorduna7148 Study formulas( Area and perimeter of triangle, rectangle, circle) Percentages, Combining like terms. For science, study cell biology and Endocrine system. Make sure you know the blood flow through the heart. I had more a&p than chemistry. I used the Mometrix study guide and the ATI study guide and RUclips. Familiarize yourself with practice questions. The wording is weird on the test also. So read the question carefully. Hope this helps☺️

I take my test Friday, and am extremely nervous for the math portion. I have been out of school for quite some time. This video will be on repeat for the next few days! Wish me luck- I will come back and post whether or not I have passed or not!
You make it look so easy. I wish it were this easy for me. I took the NLN four times and failed. I could never pass the math section. I could not do math without a calculator even if my life depended on it. The test I took allowed no calculator idk about the TEAS. :( The only nursing school I was able to get into was NYU Rory and that is because they do not require the TEAS or NLN entrance exam. However, their tuition is almost 90K for a bachelor’s in nursing and it’s a day program only which means I would have to quit my job. I had to do my bachelor in health admin but nursing is what I wanted to do. :(
We're glad you liked the video! The best way to get better at math is to do as much practice as you can. Luckily the TEAS exam does provide a calculator for the test so that should help you. NYU Rory is definitely on the more expensive side, I think it could be worth it to study for the TEAS or NLN if it meant you could get accepted to a program that is cheaper.

Hi for the triangle and base question with 90 and 80. Where did you get 3600 from. I know you might not see this or replay. But I'm still trying to figure out how you came up with the answer. The math portion of the teas is actually very similar to this video. BUT I’d suggest reviewing/practicing the area of a circle. The perimeter of different shapes. And the metric conversions.

More than sure I got those wrong.
Crucial to know for the math section:
Order of operations
Area and perimeter
Conversion of decimals, percentages, fractions
A bit of statistics with the skews
The metrics system:
Kilo, Hecto, Deka, (whole number), Deci, Centi, Millie
(The teas calculator does include the conversion of percentage!)
Overall this video is very much like the actual exam.

@@josefinaluna4236 the math part yes! So similar I literally just flew through that section and scored extremely high thanks to this video. Now I watched a science video too but it was nothing like the exam. So just study all the body systems, learn mitosis and meiosis, learn the cell and all of its organelles, how to read an element on the periodic chart with it protons and neutrons, know what ionic and covalent is.
Im super nervous to take teas exam in 2 weeks. But this video is EXTREMELY detailed & i love it. This lady is amazing. She literally makes it sound so easy. Great tips as well. Ill be back to post my results. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾❤ future RN

On Question 3, to get a faster answer, you can multiply 22% to whatever option answer numbers it gives you. Then you’ll get your answer. Just a thought if you want to do it shorter.

@@stephanieorduna7148 Study formulas( Area and perimeter of triangle, rectangle, circle) Percentages, Combining like terms. For science, study cell biology and Endocrine system. Make sure you know the blood flow through the heart. I had more a&p than chemistry. I used the Mometrix study guide and the ATI study guide and RUclips. Familiarize yourself with practice questions. The wording is weird on the test also. So read the question carefully. Hope this helps☺️

You make it look so easy. I wish it were this easy for me. I took the NLN four times and failed. I could never pass the math section. I could not do math without a calculator even if my life depended on it. The test I took allowed no calculator idk about the TEAS. :(
The only nursing school I was able to get into was NYU Rory and that is because they do not require the TEAS or NLN entrance exam. However, their tuition is almost 90K for a bachelor’s in nursing and it’s a day program only which means I would have to quit my job. I had to do my bachelor in health admin but nursing is what I wanted to do. :(
We're glad you liked the video! The best way to get better at math is to do as much practice as you can. Luckily the TEAS exam does provide a calculator for the test so that should help you. NYU Rory is definitely on the more expensive side, I think it could be worth it to study for the TEAS or NLN if it meant you could get accepted to a program that is cheaper.

Hi for the triangle and base question with 90 and 80. Where did you get 3600 from. I know you might not see this or replay. But I'm still trying to figure out how you came up with the answer. The math portion of the teas is actually very similar to this video. BUT I’d suggest reviewing/practicing the area of a circle. The perimeter of different shapes. And the metric conversions.

For question 12 why is it not -5/4 because when you move a positive it becomes negative?
