    Hmm, I own the first few on DVD, but then I got the rest of them in blue ray… and I also rebought the collection on blue ray, but I do not yet own the 4K blueray discs, is their enough of an update to the movies to make buying the Harry Potter set in 4K worth the cost to buy? Im talking audio and hdr picture quality.. I’m also talking the Harry Potter not the Fantastic Beasts movies, since I think I may have both of those in 4K already…

      I am not really an audiophile, but from what I have seen on review sites, the audio seems to be an improvement to the Blu-ray's. As for video, the first two consist of fresh 4K scans from the negative, and they look great and are a step-up from the Blu-rays. The remaining films are upscaled 4K as they were finished on 2K DI's, but they still offer some good traits. My suggestion would be to look at comparison videos between the Blu-rays and 4Ks in terms of the video and see how different they look

      I prefer all the blu ray than 4k blu rays for harry potter, it's better except the sound.

    hows the quality of the first three films is it really 4k

    • @Dan_Finnegan
      @Dan_Finnegan  2 года назад +3

      The first two films are native 4K and do look really good; superior to the Blu-rays. The third film looks good but it is not true 4K as the film was finished on a 2K DI, so it's an upscale. It still looks nice regardless.

    How does 4K really work on a regular Blu-ray player? I just wanna make sure if it does cause I was thinking to get does I really want to get the 4K D on Blu-ray

    • @Dan_Finnegan

      4Ks do not play on regular Blu-ray players. You have to purchase a 4K Blu-ray player in order for them to work (The Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles also play 4K discs). If you connect a 4K player to a standard HD (1080p) television, it'll just output the video in 1080p.
