    I realized when doing final review that of course you need to use a bonus action to enter your rage on the first turn of combat, so your bonus action spiked armor attack won't kick in until round 2 🙂

    Shard! I've had some requests to revise this subclass (create a homebrewed improvement of it). Are you interested in revisions? Maybe our next collaboration could be coming together with our own two versions of the subclass to see what we came up with. Let me know if that sounds interesting/fun to you :)

    kobold press has a Path of Thorns spiky barbarian subclass which seems a tad more thought out.

      It definitely needs a design overhaul - the dependency on equipment, narrow race choices and underwhelming features make for a poor combination. At least it's features don't actively kill you, so it's not the worst Barbarian ;)
