The old codgers who retired and bought a 4x4, learned nothing about off roading, and think they know best just because they're older.
And the younger blokes who bought a dual cab because holden and ford stopped making commodores and falcons, who think a lift, muddies and arrogance is enough to get by.
Just drop your pressures and don't drive like you're trying to kill people.

Because it's much more useful. I had a tub with canopy and anything that's near the front can be difficult to reach. I swapped it over to a flat tray and it's the best thing I ever did. The wide gull wing doors on the canopies make access ridiculously easy in comparison. I now have 2 "jack off" canopies, one for work and one for camping. The jack off canopies have a leg on each corner which you simply wind up or down making it easy to change by simply driving out with the legs raised, or just use the flat bed for really big things. Great set ups.

This is one of the most picturesque and beautiful places on the planet. The fishing is unrivalled anywhere on earth. There’s guys are putting the boats on a barge and taking them to Fraser Island. There, they have many kilometres more to tow them to get to a camp site before they even consider launching them. Not something that appeals to me, but each to their own! I go there for the driving and the sightseeing. By the way, we have many very well set up boat launching facilities. 😁

26:09 I swear the guy was fiddling with a shackle used to join the two straps!!! Confirmed at 29:59. Snatching off a towball. Wrapped the winch cable around the towbar and back onto itself. No safety zone. No-one thought to lower tyre pressures. A couple of metres of rope on each recovery board would have save a lot of time searching in the sand for buried boards. No idea, and dangerous. Lucky someone's not dead.

Surely you need 'slightly' more RPM on that nav to gain traction... Never fails to surprise me how people think redlining is going to give you more traction.

How many errors in technique did YOU spot? Using towball for snatching....failing to lower tyre pressures.....joining two straps with a steel shackle....wrapping a winch cable around the towbar (it'll have a nice permanent bend now)....probably more...

11:02 what an amateur, he should be so glad he didn’t smash a window or kill someone standing on the car. Speaking of the people who stood on the sidesteps, that’s dangerous in a recovery situation, especially since the guy in his nav is using the tow ball to snatch. A tow ball is not rated recovery equipment, therefore it should never be used to perform the task.
