Welcome back to the pnw Ted! I've been in the Seattle area for about 30 years! I'm so happy you're still doing what you do, and I love seeing you and your work. Take care of yourself and have fun!
Nice moody images, Ted. Great tonality as well. I go out here with my Nikon Df and old 35mm f/2 D lens, so a somewhat similar set up. But those darn SW Utah skies, well, you know. I'm digging what you're doing there, for sure. Thanks for posting.
Hey Frank, that is great, man. One of my best friends, another photographer, Garrett Winslow is really in love with Utah. Man, the clounds you guys get over there! Thank you, man!
I tell you what I think Ted 😀: The people in Oregon are friendly to you because you are friendly to them, often peoples reaction are a mirror of yourself. That leader crossing the bridge with the Mercedes star in the middle down under (need to be a bit more insight though) would be great for a Mercedes commercial like "Mercedes taking you everywhere" with that BG music, epic. Yes man that is a whole other part of the States and IMO underexposed, to keep it in Photography jargon. M262 still rockin' and taking a lot of nowadays cameras to the cleaners. Exciting of what great images you will bring us in the future . For now, stay put and greetings from a wet wet wet Amsterdam
Yeah man, cool idea about the video with the car. Kind of enjoying adding more footage to the videos. I don't want to waist peoples time, but just to add enough. Yeah, the 262 really just amazes me when I see the images from that glass and body. I haven't played with the M10 or M11 yet. I have no doubt they are amazing. Enjoy the rain, Rob!
Welcome back to my fair city Ted! It’s a great place in so many ways. There’s a few weekends where I may be out shooting street either in downtown or St. Johns.
Hey Marty, you are correct on both... yeah, definitely a good time to get out of that Vegas summer heat! And yes, about a year ago I decided I should start recording and playing my own background music. Man, it's been a lot of fun.
I'm almost 79 and try to go into Portland every week and walk around taking pictures lately I've been emulating Saul Leiter and hopper and I am having a blast I just took some photos of Kelly's the other day but I didn't get up close and personal with it like you did. I'll have to try it again I usually take my Canon 7 with the 50mm Canon lens but I will take my fuji xt20 if I want to shoot color Keep up the good work
The Fuji XT20 is a good choice. Small and lightweight. I usually use the Fujicron 35/2 or 23/2 lens. Love the B&W film simulations. Ted use to use a Fuji when he was in LV. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Not as different as you may think. I live in Seattle. That is about 250 miles north of Portland. From October to April we have a giant light box in the sky. It rain’s frequently but not necessarily hard. It is raining now. From May to September the sun comes out to play. We do drink our beer cold though. Football is a contact sport played with shoulder pads and a helmet. We also throw the ball. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Yeah, I agree. Basically an M240, but I didn't want video or LIVE view when it comes to shooting Leica. And 24mpx are more than I need. Prints as large as I need/want (for now?). Great option getting into digital Leica.
Hello Ted, I have asked this before, but is the guitar playing in the background you? I love the tone, and feel. I play mostly classic rock, but so want to improve my jazz playing
Yeah, that is me, my playing. This past year, I decided to start recording my own music for the background of the videos and podcast. Been a long time since I’ve done any recording, really enjoying it. Thank you so much! Very cool about your playing. I have played plenty of classic rock in my day. My pretty much love everything, especially Jazz. Thanks again, man!
Great music great voice. Late night jazz feeling.
Enjoyed it Ted. Lots of character in those old buildings.
Oh man, I know. It's so good to be living back in an area that blows up (implodes) there older buildings. Thank you, man!
I always enjoy your art. Cheers!
THank you!
Love the style of your videos and the stlye of your photos !!
Thank you so much!
So many good things to see & capture up there. Good stuff, Ted.
Yeah man, such a photography playground here. Thank you, man!

Great video, love what you’re doing. Nice to see you enjoying life. I’ve always wanted to visit the NW of the US, very different to here in the UK!

Yeah man, come on over this way when you get a chance! Thank you, man!
@@martingreenberg870 I've heard that too, Mariy, that UK's weather is similar to that of the NW US. Maybe I can get over there one of these days.

I think the M262 is a legendary, fairly unknown minimal beast 🙏🏼

You should make film noire movie. Really.
Man, you know, I think I would probably really enjoy that. Maybe one of these days.
