So I watch anime and fantasy stories and what I wanted from Dungeons of Eternity is an experience like being transported into a new world and doing dungeon runs. Insomuch as the game feels incomplete, I feel like I am getting more proficient with the basic mechanics of the space. Using the weapons, interacting with the surroundings. While I do want a richer levelling system, more meaningful options to customize and define my role in a team how I want with the optional load outs I am also level 8 and enjoying the basic play loop right now. I would like more story, but I think right now I want more practice and as long as that isn't a daunting task I think the game was a good purchase. I got it with a friend and its been a great bonding experience as we both level together and get more accustomed to the game. Stuff that freaked us out last dungeon is more easy to deal with next and the gradual increasing power level of the weapons keeps the challenge fresh while giving a sensation of progression. I'm glad I both get to run the tutorial over and over until I feel comfortable and have the option to jump into the deep end of the pool with the environments.
I personally like the bow, but it did take some getting used to. The off thing about it is that you can manipulate the direction the bow is facing by turning and twisting the wrist of the hand your gripping the bow with and that changes the trajectory of the arrow. As someone who DOES practice archery with primitive style bows, that doesn't really happen IRL, at least not on this scale. I feel like the devs should treat the bow gripping hand as a locked point of contact from which the arrow is launched and leave the arrow's trajectory up to where you position the back of the arrow after drawing. But either way, if you can consistently hold your bow gripping wrist in roughly the same position, it gets easier with use and I've grown to really like how quickly you can fire arrow after arrow once you've developed some muscle memory with it.
Love this game, have had some amazing groups. Getting good with the weapons is a must, rarely die now and I have gone 8 one hour plus game sessions without any bugs.
The game is definitely a bit on the barebones side. I think better item and exo balancing and difficulty options / tiers would’ve gone a long way toward keeping the game fun at higher levels.
As a fan of hack and slash games and dreaming of having a Vernintide 2 experience on VR this game scratches the itch of getting into a dungeon, collect loot and create new builds. The experience of just ipen the game and join a party mid adventure is really awesome... I dont know... The game seems really good but maybe because we are comparing with the other VR experiences that usually sucks. BTW the tutorial teaches how to add people to the group.
This needs story quests that unlock every 5 levels. More variation in levels and objectives. More cosmetics. Just more of everything. I can see a sequel with an open world, dungeons all over, and a main city to upgrade gear, take quests, and a mount to get around. Basically diablo 4 x asgards wrath 2 with the asthetics and gameplay of DoE. This is a bit too basic and throwing weapons is not satisfying at all. Thats my favorite thing in AW2.

Its a decent game with potential. The problem is it feels like a skeleton and its missing the meat and potatoes. The base game is not complete. You look at the roadmap for the game in 2024 and that's what the game should have been at launch. I feel like they rushed the game out a year to early.
I'm always an easy fan of something that I enjoy. It's nice to you are able to provide a balance perspective. And create a quality opinion. As a user or promoter I may not realize a Quality. life or a problem a tester would understand almost immediately.
i came from rec room and love golden trophy...dungeons of eternity is golden trophy for adults...its awesome. im still only level 15 and cant wait to get the auto crossbow lol
I personally found DOE to be a totally empty boring and dull first impression and pr0mptly refunded, however I'm on the fence after watching a few Gameplay videos. I still think the game is under developed as focuses solely on gameplay which just seems like u do only one thing. I want a game like this mixed with say like rust or the forest, they should make an expansion where you go to the surface and its an open world survival RPG with farming and building, forging and crafting etc..., they should include elements from Anarchy Online, Aion, fallen earth, rust, and cave digger for fucks sake, plus 7 days to die. now THAT would be a good game. This is half assed!
I agree, there is much to be desired. But as a few mentioned below, they seem to have interesting road map for 2024. It may be time to check the game out again!
This game is freaking ass, they had me sold on random generated dungeons. Then you got kids already speed running dungeons so how are they randomly generated, got stale real quick.
According to the developers, the game will be further expanded. New dungeons, levels and even planets to explore.

i just finished asgard 2, and dungeons of eternity is the best follow up.
