Can you please make a scotch out of butterscotch candy
❤ how Daniel thinks 82% like it neat and 24% like it on the rocks. So good 106% of people enjoy it!
I always prefer drinks neat. But I’ll always accept one on the rocks.
Because -6% people prefer it in cocktails duh
6% of people are easy to please
Shoutout to the pregnant ladies that count as 2 ppl
I was cautious about putting RedBreast 12 into a cocktail but I am glad I did. An Old Fashioned with RB12, angostura bitters and Demerara syrup is amazing
Red Breast 12 is the first nice bottle of whiskey I purchased. It was a delightful experience. It was all thanks to you guys.
I've been on my whiskey journey for 21 years, and while it hasn't ended, Redbreast 12 has me thinking there is no better. It stopped me in my tracks and I just don't search as hard as I used to. I love it!
I have a serious competitor for RB12.
Powers John’s Lane. You won’t regret a purchase.
@@rationalthinker6753 Powers John Lane is really good. If we’re comparing to Irish 12 year whiskeys I personally prefer Yellow Spot over John Lane and Redbreast. But it’s really semantics as they’re all excellent!
I used Redbreast 12 to make eggnog this last winter... I drank 3 gal's over Oct. to Feb., you be surprised how good it was..
Briana's cocktail skills are really moving up these days
This is my go to sipping whisky.
I enjoy Redbreast 12, the cask strength was notably better, but the real magic lurks inside the RB 21yr.
There is something extra cool about a whiskey older than the legal US drinking age/the drinking age of the country you're in.
I would just like to extend thanks to y'all at Crowded barrel and all the MB's in the tribe! Becuase of all of you, I can, with certainty and knolwedge say, I have never had a "bad"/"bottom shelf" whiskey. Redbreast 12, glenmorangie quinta ruban, a family bruichladdich, ardbeg uigedail, balcones baby blue. You lot spoiled me so much and I could not have enjoyed it more!
Fun video. I have only had RB12 Cask strength. It was my fave Irish whisky until I met Green Spot. The green apple in it has me hooked.
12 is delicious. We bought a bottle yesterday, sat on a bench overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Newport, Oregon, and sipped and watched the sunset. A+ We both were knocked out with this superb whiskey.
I actually started out my Irish whiskey journey with Green spot a few months ago. Tried Red breast 15 at a bar 3 weeks ago and went out to buy a bottle the next day.
Interesting fun fact: last week, I had Writer’s Tears Marsala Cask Finish on the rocks - very heavy on the tannins! Apparently, Irish pot still does that on the rocks 🤷🏻♂️
That's crazy. Just bought a bottle for the first time a couple hours before this popped up. It was nice to drink along
I just bought this for the first time 2 nights ago. It is delicious!
Redbreast 12 for me is fantastic. A solid Irish. Thanks for a fun video, cheers!
I own both the 12 and 15 year old RB and neat I prefer the 12. My fav
Stumbled across this at - Costco. Never saw it there before nor at many of the places I usually go to. I saw it was aged 12 yrs so I thought if nothing else it will be smooth. Oh, my. Went back the next day and picked up another bottle for a reserve. Absolutely love it. I'm not fancy enough to come up w/ all these flavor profiles so I'll just call it "nice".
Absolutely love me some Redbreast. I have tried the 12, 15, Lustau, and recently purchased the 27!! (its not what I expected and everything I expected) Btw, currently typing this comment while enjoying some Yellow Spot....life is good....real good!!
Hmm Red Breast, my favorite, easy to get whiskey. My local Costco has been having this Red Breast 12 for $50, which is a great price because it's been $80+ everywhere else.
I love both Redbreast 12 and Green Spot. I have a kickass little underground Irish pub where I live that does generous pours of Greenspot for 8 bucks. Cash only, of course. Redbreast 12 is also a staple bottle at home now!
Always love the creativity of you all! 😂🤣😂 Keep'em coming! ❤
Love this video format of dedicating the whole video to a single whiskey
The RB12 cask strength is unreal. Makes the RB12 taste watery
you mean balanced
No.. watery. Pay the extra £30 fo the CS all day
These flavorcloud videos are just getting better and better! Heckin good
This episode was unhinged, so a little more sane than usual. Great vid!
Redbreast 12 is a fantastic lower proof whiskey. Want to try the cask strength sometime.
I like the redbreast but it tends to be overpriced where I live so I LOVE Power's Signature
Hahaha loved it! I particularly loved the recommendation for Greenspot if you like RB12. Greenspot is so far my favorite Irish whiskey-so much creamier.
Greenspot is one of the best smelling whiskey I've ever had. I like the taste but it smells delicious
Redbreast of all sorts is my all time favourite!
I adore the 'lustau' edition very much
My local store (somehow) managed to get a redbreast 27 on their shelf. It's goes for a small sum of 600 dollars and I want it. I can absolutely not afford it but it's cool.
As someone who doesn't drink; redbreast 12 is my gifting whiskey, and it's all because of your channel.
I just found Redbreast 12 for 50 bucks! Thrilled beyond words!
late the party, I finally grabbed a bottle. Cream and butter was amazingly velvety. Red apple, vanilla, butterscotch and toffee were also present. Sadly, no breastmilk or breats though. Lol. Definitely top 4 for me.
Work in Midleton Cork and fortunate to have toured the distillery facility a few times. Great smooth tasting whiskey & I love Redbreast , worth checking out Crested 10 as an option as well Nice!
Not a fan of whiskey cocktails as they hide the real whiskey story behind odd flavours
I’m headed there in June! Planning to do a distillery tour and a tasting
I love how Rex's improvised flag is still up there :D
I love that in the "flavour cloud" there's just a little tiny "rex". Someone thinks it takes/smells like him xD
Awesome, 💯 been waiting for review.
at 0:31 had me ROLLIN he nailed that like it was his destiny.
You know, before I saw your youtube channel, I used to just take shots of jack daniels to chill out and relax, and never understood why people sip on alcohol instead of just tossing it into their bodies... I remember seeing Woodford Reserve double oaked on your channel, and decided to spend some extra money one weekend and get it, and that got me sipping, sniffing, and enjoying the actual taste of bourbons now. I really wanna thank y'all, It's one of the best things that's happened to me ngl, I am loving bourbons and watching y'all funny but informative channel.
If you want to try RedBreast, make sure to grab a bottle of the cask strength one. Just so much more depth.
Redbreast was my first whiskey that I absolutely loved then I found the 15 and then I had the 12 cask strength. Honestly haven't found a better one then the cask strength for me
Whoa, Daniel is from Ft. Wayne? Neat! I was born there! I mean, I moved to Florida when I was 7 and spent the my life there before moving to Japan but.. Ft. Wayne! Neat!
Redbreast 12 Cask Strength is THE BEST IRISH I have ever tasted!!! The higher proof adds enormous flavors that ACTUALLY LINGER……a sadly rare attribute in Irish whiskey, which otherwise (usually) have great flavors…..only until you swallow it, then it’s IMMEDIATELY GONE!
If you like pot still and want to expand your horizons a bit and try something different, I recommend Kilbeggan single pot still. It has a very different flavor than Redbreast. Where Redbreast has darker richer flavors this is much lighter and zestier. For a single pot still closer to Redbreast but still very unique and different, the Method and Madness single pot still has that richness but is finished in chestnut casks for a different nuttiness.
One of my favorites.
We love the redbreast.. especially the CS
8:31 bookmark for the editor. We have got to see a Brianna funniest compilation please. This one had me laughing like a lunatic
😂 Great idea!
Dang, Banana is getting better at mixing. Its night and day between this episode and the first one she made a cocktail. Great improvement, keep at it. 9:15
Sometimes I wonder if the sponsors watch the ads lol. I love them, never stop.
Alex did a pretty good job editing this video. As Always
The editing for this channel is awesome! Very good job.
I was inspired to try whiskey because of the MBs and also in the hopes that I might get to give Brianna a high five one day.
Wild Turkey Rare Breed, here I come.
LOVE me some Redbreast 12
I just bought a bottle of Powers John's Lane. I think I might like it more than the base Redbreast 12.
Redbreast always has a nice fresh apple taste for me, even more than the classic shortbread or vanilla, I'm surprised more people don't pick out that flavor.
13:00 'don't be Green Spot, don't be Green Spot, please don't be...damnit.
Redbreast is my Fav whiskey
Speaking of Fort Wayne, have you tried any of the Three Rivers Distilling products? Being from close to Fort Wayne, just wanted your opinion. Love your videos!
Redbreast 12 is better than green spot...it's a little harsher, not as well balanced just in my opinion. I enjoy powers 12 year! But i have the entire redbreast lineup, except the small batch. Beautiful pour any day of the week.
The dominance of 4-star ratings makes sense, because the 80-proof Redbreast 12 is standing behind the Cask Strength 12 and the 15, which are both 5-star AF.
Exactly the reason I gave it 4 stars, to leave room for the cask strength which is a definite 5.
Daniel from Fort Wayne Indiana is my favorite.
Hmm gonna have to try finding that Ardbeg note in my next tasting of Red Breast, seriously looking forward to it. Also that breast note seems appealing as well.
Ever since Ilse of Jura Superstition went off market I have really lost enjoyment of whiskey. It was my favorite, and no matter what I tried I always would go back to it. I looked for a long time for something similiar but never found anything close enough. Any suggestions? Any whiskeys I could blend together to get close?
I appreciate rex considering the sonic qualities
Almost bought this last night because of your videos…decided against it since I still don’t have my taste back from Covid a couple weeks ago. Looking forward to it once my buds start working again!
Dude. Imagine getting your taste back and the first thing you taste is Redbreast! Plan ahead.
@@X-atm092 they had cask strength, think it was $100 though. They also had a $350 bottle of some kind of rebreast behind lock and key
Jameson Black Barrel is a great alternative I've found
I love Redbreast. I tried the Lustau version and it rocks! I always pour my whiskey into smaller bottles over time so as to avoid Oxidization.
I pour mine into glasses to get that effect.
I couldn't get into the lustau version its not as good as the actual redbreast
@@ryanlangston439 nah it definitely is
oh I love the lustau
That was very satisfying watching the banana do a good job making the cocktail instead of the usual comedic take.
REDBREST, REDBREST, REDBREST and I love that pot still whiskey. REDBREST episode witnessed while sipping nothing, waited until later in the day. Thank you for REDBREST and Rex too
I recommend Redbreast Lustau Edition, even better than the regular 12.
I must've known... Had the Redbreast 12 out last night.
I have the 27yr old Redbreast in my collection. Haven't dared myself to open it - YET!
Do it.
Hopefully it's a good one. I'm a Laphroaig fan so I have a 16 and a 21 on the shelf. They are good but I prefer the 10.
Loving this one dropping today. Celebrating my birthday and have some 12 & 15 to taste later today
Try Lustau. It's their Sherry finished version.
Happy Birthday! 🎉 Enjoy the RB! 😁
@@Sunny-jz3dy thanks
And to come back they're both phenomenal
Love it and I am not a whiskey drinker
Can you please do a review series on Powers Irish Whiskeys?
Need to check out red breast soon.
I wanna try Jameson Stout edition its not my 1st scotch whiskey like Johnnie black then upgrade to Redbreast to see the differences in flavors
My favorite whiskey
Do Balvenie 12 next peeps!!
Can you guys help me decide between JW black 12 year and Chivas Regal 12 year? You mentioned Chivas 12 was a step up from Monkey Shoulder and I know you guys speak pretty highly of MS. Does that make Chivas 12 better than JW black? To my palate they are similar in quality, one smokier one more of a speyside, both have hint of grain bitterness.
For the price I would def go green spot or port Charlotte. I think I gave redbreast 12 a 2star. I really didn't enjoy it when I bought it.
Can someone please explain what's the deal with the flavor cloud map and those points?
Redbreast is the best whiskey line in all of whiskeydom.
So many expressions and even more that never make it to the US.
Yellow Spot is a fantastic everyday pour as well as a End of the week well earned pour.
I'm guessing "methy" (in a UK review) means "too much ethanol burn/flavor"? ("Meths" in the UK is methylated spirits - denatured alcohol. I can't say anything about the proportion of people over there who mix the other meth with their Irish whiskey...)
Either that or someone slipped some Bitrex into that bottle.
I was thinking the same thing. I do woodworking & with shellac people mix in denatured alcohol to thin it. In the industry people often refer to it as "adding meths." So my immediate thought was alcohol spike.
Best ad ever
I want to try it. But where I live it's over $100 a bottle MSRP.
Still waiting for merch with flavor cloud keywords :D
I’m calling it now… methy will be a tasting note in the next flavor cloud! 😂
Redbreast 12 is very good but the cask strength is one of the best whiskeys ever.
I ACTUALLY am a school teacher from Fort Wayne, Indiana…though my name is not Daniel🤣🤯🤣
Fantastic whiskey. Definitely a 5.
Daniel sounds like he caught whatever Briana had last episode. I've just started this episode, but I'd be surprised if Daniel could taste anything! Get well, Daniel.
I love redbreast
Rex, is this really in your top 3? I need to know for sure before I lay down the $55.
It's in a lot of people's top 3, it's truly excellent though if you have the dough, get the CS or the 15. Especially if you're an experienced drinker. I loved the regular 12 first time I had it but now that I'm much more experienced, it's still good but kinda weak and bland.
8:32 what the heck is that Banana?!?!? 😂
I find that Yellow Spot is closer to the Redbreast palate.
Lol that commercial! Briana with a beard and tiny hands seems like a thing that needs to happen regularly.
red breast 15 is my favourite whiskey
