I mean, they can still exist, because this is making use of glitches or console commands to teleport to the events of a true pacifist run, I think. Which means that while you are there, the game thinks its pacifist, until you leave.

If your somehow able to get into the true lab in the genocide route using a glitch, it would be a massive time skip for speedrunners. You also don't have to fight sans.

Apparently Sans give you enough exp to reach level 20 even if you are level 1 lol

@@1971taks you might be right, but that isn’t really a lesser requirement than the burnt pan
most of the amalgamates have either 999 or 9999 defense, meaning your attacks actually heal them. if you were somehow able to deal more than 9999 damage you would be able to kill them, in which case they would disappear and it would work the same as sparing them.
I love how every episode ends with you destroying reality.
What would the whole game look like if it is possible to keep the many hot dogs/cats that Sans piles on Frisk's head until the end of the game?

correction: you can kill ONE amalgamate and thats snowdrake's mother. if you are at least level 10, use 8 legendary heros, use temmie armor and manage to get all 4 crits with the empty gun, you can "kill her" which will just count as sparing her normally. this is because instead of other amalgamates, snowdrake's mom's health actually goes down. i've actually done this in a completely vanilla playthrough using a glitch

The biggest thing I’m taking away from this is that Sans is not a Genocide route checkpoint, you could skip his fight and go immediately to Asgore. I know it’s impossible to abort Genocide at that point, but I assumed the game would treat sans like it treats Papyrus, Undyne the undying etc
You can't get out of Sans or MTT NEO fights without killing them, so there's no need to check them
@@WhoStoleKirya73 I thought it checked MTT NEO, it also checks killing undyne the undying and killing undyne as 2 different checks, i think only sans isn't a checkpoint

If you use hacks to just skip the fight, the game doesn't check and you stay on genocide route

Random idea: What if you swapped battles?
Basically, what if you modded the game to say, make every random encounter the first Flowey battle, or turned the Sans battle into a Jerry battle? Or the normal Undyne fight swapped with Undyne the undying?
No idea if this would work, but it could be interesting.
Another comment recommended this, but what if you use other soul colours in different fights, like purple in the sans fight

Actually, you can kill Snowdrake's mom, but need pretty high atk
I did that too. Except that after beating Mettaton NEO in genocide, I hacked the files so that I can teleport to the True Lab. Nothing changed at all, Alphys acted like normal and wasn't even panicking about my presence or massacre. The only changes are that the 'But nobody came' message appears using CELL against the Memoryheads and after leaving, I battle Asgore straightaway with LV19 and the game can just end without Sans's fight.
What if you can get past Asgore on the Genocide Route and go to the barrier?
if you do this, you'll see asgore there, and he'll start his battle as if he was on a neutral route. but right as the battle begins, it shifts to genocide. (as in he says his 'now now there's no need to fight' thing.) you're locked in genocide at this point, so while you could theoretically go to the barrier, it wouldn't change much.

Teleporting to Snowdin after leaving lab reset the story to pacifist cutscenes, very strange.

Never even considered that in genocide, Alphys in all likelihood abandons the amalgamates, leaving them to starve in a dingy, decaying basement. Unless she takes them with her? But I imagine that conversation would be awkward. "We need to evacuate! Oh yeah, btw these abominations are your dead friends and family that I resurrected and never told you about"

I discovered a while back, but you cannot acces the True Lab on a genocide route AFTER you kill sans. It just wont let you. Me and some guy a while back tried wirh file editing/debug, and other than Entry 17, we could not get into the True Lab.

You CAN actually kill snowdrake’s mother, you just need 8 legendary heroes and a perfect 4 hits with the burnt pan since you have to one shot it.
