This is super helpful! Thanks a lot! The first chapter is a bit convoluted the way it’s presented in the module. The timeline makes a lot more sense the way you explained it.
This was really helpful! I was concerned about how the Heist would go down during the big top extravaganza as the book doesn't say where Mr. Witch is located at this time, and doesn't suggest any ways your allies could help you.
I'd just like to share my plan. Take it or leave it as you might like. 1. PCs ask around about what they lost. They learn of the 3 thieves and that the staff have been told to let them be. 2. The PCs try to hunt down the thieves. The Carnival staff take a blind eye to the PCs actions. 3. Before they kill the last thief, Burley approaches them. He tells the PCs that Witch and Light will never tell them how to get into Prismeer unless they have leverage on them. So after they kill the last thief, they'll very likely get an invitation. that's whey they'll be close to Witch. 4. After the PCs kill thief 3, PCs get invited. They need to then grab the watch and one of them has to run. Witch and Light will have to negotiate with the PCs as they don't have time to hunt down the PC that ran out. I personally like going about it this way as there's more combat and action.

It's difficult to me for say exactly how that'd run, but if you and your group likes action more, going in this direction seems like a good bet :)
