The ONLY time my cat will open a door by himself is if it's cracked open. Other than that, he'll chill by the door while he waits for me to come out the bathroom.
@KDB349 My cat used to jump on it when we had those handle doors. She'd go up to the door, jump up and get enough weight to pull the handle down and open the door herself. Long story short, we quickly realised it and switched to a door knob. So yes, they can do this very easily and quickly.

I believe that this is not a wild pride and that these lions are in captivity but people can enter with their cars and appreciate them from the inside, something like a safari inside your car. Otherwise it seems to me that it is too much of a coincidence that there is a white lion and a car so close to each other.
In parks like this they have signs everywhere that tell people to lock all of the vehicles doors and not to get out of the car. It was their fault that the lion opened the car door.
In this case it's also a question of the people being too close for the Prides liking. Lions need to conserve energy when they are not hunting but that does not mean they're going to take a violation of their personal space lying down. The male was the equivalent of a man standing on the porch with a shotgun to fend off hooligans.

If her dad had locked it, the red strip wouldn't show and the little bump on the lock would be to the left instead of the right. That girl did not lock her door at all.
