My boyfriend found Jesse’s music when we were in a very dark place in our lives. He quickly bought a mandolin and listened to Jesse for hours every single day. It was honestly the only time I saw him comforted and somewhat relieved playing with Jesse to the emotions of his heart. We are now sober and at peace. He continues to play the mandolin and even plays at church now for our congregation. If he never got that mandolin from the inspiration that Jesse gave.. maybe we wouldn’t be where we’re at today.. thank God and thank you Jesse. We love you.

Leave the church. Live free. God is in you. Don't trade a slavery to addiction for a slavery to the church. Be free. Jesus (proper name Yeshua; Jesus means Hail Zeus and isn't His true name) hated the church and rebuked it every chance he got.

I found Jesse when someone shared the beer song. I was instantly hooked - not by the song but by his sad passion. Every time, every song - I'm in tears of fucking love and anger and sadness. You are, we're and will be one of the best!

I thought I had beat my addiction but my girl left this week, I broke down and got a bag today and when I sat down to look for something to blast off to I came across this.... and right b4 I typed this comment I flushed it all down the toilet.

I lost my twin Jack last January to something very similar. He battled it from the time we were 14 and he found my mom's medicine chest. It was an accident that turned into a problem, a problem that turned into a conviction, and a conviction that turned into a cause of death. I miss him every second of every day. EVERY day. I miss you Jack, I miss you Jessie, Jah, Gus, Jarad, Bashar and Malcolm. I expect I'll lose more, and for that I want to scream. Stop treating emotional pain with a bandaid. Lets love each other more openly and express it to our guy friends. We can't continue like this.

I didn't follow him super hard or anything; I came across him several years ago while I was drunk and RUclips brought me to the Bridge City Sinners, Amigo the Devil, and him.... I coined it Portland Trash Country in my mind, and I loved it. I never even knew he was Canadian until today. Jesse stood out because he really exuded the freedom I had always longed for but never actually had the balls to achieve. That guy could have been anything or anyone, and he truly chose his own path. That's inspiring as fuck. I'm sad to hear he passed, but not surprised. My sadness is for his family, but I know that Mr. Stewart is now experiencing the ultimate freedom and understanding experience, which was likely the inner longing he followed and searched for during his time here. This dimension simply does not provide enough for some souls, but they who seek shall surely find. The man has finally found the destination he spent his life searching for, and I'm happy that he blessed us with his music on his way to his true home. I'll see you when I get there Jesse. Enjoy the view bro.

I really felt a real connection with this dude.
I never really understood people getting upset over celebrity deaths, I guess I just never really connected with them.
Because when I heard that Jesse had passed I was legitimately sad, I cried.
I could tell that he was struggling with the affliction of drugs but I had still hoped that he would get right,
and that one day he would come to Australia and play his music,
whatever city it was, I'd be there, me and all of my friends felt this way.
It's truly a tragedy, this man was extremely talented and a voice for the voiceless.
    R.I.P. Jesse Stewart.

So many artists have gifts... His passion and intensity is top shelf... I think there are rumours of his character or issues, but the one thing I can say is that I find it sad when a person goes though horrible times, and they can not be so good to themselves and/or others... Mental support has to be proper... That doesn't mean jamming people in life's box of rejects with tolerating substance issue. But many of these people come from life challenges.. They need real assistance not a shitty meal, they need a legit chance to turn it around..this is a person's brother sister son daughter and or friend, we all know someone that needs help love and hope.
Rip Jesse, I found your music after you passed..

It just breaks me that I never had the opportunity to be this man's friend. But maybe we were friends in spirit. There've been many musicians tramped through my life, and I know I've tramped across the hearts of at least a few musicmen, too. Goddammit though, has there ever been such lyricism and music and raw, honest bare emotion set to mandolin? Nope.
My hat is off to everyone who has never stopped loving us damaged souls. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost a lover, brother, parent, friend to the cold hard road. We didn't want to hurt you, we just. Couldn't. Stop.

From the sec. I heard the energy and passion behind his Chops alone, I was almost forced to listen further. By the end of the song I had already created the same playlist I still play today! That was 5 years ago... For me it's the gritty, un- cut realness of his lyrics that create That Dose Of Reality moment in conjunction with the fact I too fought demons for 30+ years and it pains me to admit, the very same demons that took Jesse also took my baby sister may 8th 2021...Goes to show the demons do not discriminate.. I could only imagine the courageous battle jesse fought that nobody knew nothing about... He gave you enough through his songs to get the just of his life... He spent his days doing what he loved while leaving a lasting legacy! RIP Jesse!

I stumbled across his music when I was left alone after I got home from work the beginning of this year. I absolutely love Jesse's music because of how much emotion is in the lyrics🖤

Jesse is thee only sound that my mixed up mind and broken heart can hear for the past two weeks. Giving up on one of my dreams forcefully I've gone against my own word. People beware of covert narcissists hell would be relief from the trauma I've been forced to experience. Rock on kid. Legend..

2021 was the worst year of my life. Jesse and his music were the only things that had my back through the homelessness the pain and now what I know will be never ending sorrow. Jesse I wish I could have done half as much as you did for me with these songs.

Found this guy amidst peak covid when humans across the globe were struggling to cope with some very new conditions of living. for those struggling with mental health conditions, the universe dealt a debilitating blow. Jesse's music offered a lot of comfort and inspiration when that blow hit me and those around me. Although I did not know this man I am grateful for him and the blessings he gave this world.

I got to know jesse through his music and the familiar pain and addiction. I was lucky enough to get to know him ever so slightly through dms on and off for about a year before he died. He listened to my music and my covers of his. Next rounds on me when we meet again my brother. 🖤
