Nice and soulful, slow enough for me to feel the full effect of these sorrowful words. Love your voice and your talented guitar playing. Wow, you let me know that Jesse has already passed. My husband's love for cold beer and drugs took him down at 61 years old. Oh the sorrow of loving a man who chooses to put his love for alcohol and drugs as top priority before his wife and kids. RIP Casey, Jesse and all who got stuck when the bottle touched their lips.

This is the first version of this song that i can honestly say i enjoy listening to, because you made it your own version and didn't make another version trying to sound like Jesse. Thank you man! I can really appreciate someone who isn't wanting to be anything other than original! there was only one Jesse Stewart and there will never be another and I wish people would stop trying to duplicate his music completely down to the exact note and and with his style. its not ever gonna happen! That's a really good cover man. I only recently discovered Jesse while basically surfing mandolin tunes and some of his songs really hit me. Loved the passion he put into Cold Beer - just totally sold the song. Never knew him (how could I - I'm in a totally different country) but it's a shame he's gone so soon. Thanks for sharing brother.
