Hearing Scott say they were never close is sad. You would think at their peak they'd be spending much of their time together because of all their success as a tag team and they way they interact with each other during their entrance and in-ring it was like two close friends working in tandem.
It’s scary when a celebrity starts to live the persona they play . Great interview, sometimes someone who barely knew someone can tell you a lot about them.

As far as Brian Lawler goes, it sucks how he went out. I always knew that he was on some kind of drugs, it was pretty evident. What people aren’t talking about is the amount of pressure he must’ve been under constantly being reminded that he’s Jerry The King Lawler’s son. Scotty just said that he loved Grandmaster Sexay more than Brian Lawler and I kinda see why. Not being associated with his dad, he was his own man as Grandmaster, he had his own identity. They did have a run they had the tag titles a few times and Scotty used to be a jobber before too cool so Vince did not really like him as much as the others so he would not have made it any farther than he did so him being with GMS did not hold him down since without him he would have never held any title due to Vince not favoring smaller guys so it ended good for Scotty and still Rest In Peace GMS.
