The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Absolute mastery of that organ...
He was ahead of his day!!! I didn’t realize he was making the bird sounds on the organ!! Beautiful!!❤
🤔?🤔?🤔?🤔?
Who did you think was making the bird sounds on the organ when you didn't think it was Earl Grant?
Respectfully😊😊
@@miltonmoore8369 I’m legally blind and I miss things that might be obvious to the person that can see normally. I hope this explains why I said what I said.
I am sorry to learn of your handicap. I assume someone informed you that Earl Grant was playing the bird call like sounds on his organ.
Out of appreciation for your gracious response, i am recommending a recording: Google KITTEN on BLUE EYES CRYING IN THE RAIN.😊
With my best thoughts and wishes, always.🎉😊🎉😊🎉😊
Thanks for another Earl Grant video who managed to turn the organ into a synthesizer years before the Moog came out…👍😀!
Have a great day!
I was just thinking I wish he would have lived long enough to get his hands on a MOOG. No telling what he would have made that thing do!
@@GuppyCzar I agree…👍😀!
He was was truly Blessed ❤
Sensational! 🎹
Happy Wednesday... thank you for sharing!
Nice! Nice!! Nice!!! Thanks.
Amazing talented piano player 🎉
😮 Wow. An absolute genius at the Organ.
Wow, awesome, outstanding 👏👏
Wow!
Brilliant composer and musician. ❤
The home organ ...a fave of every home from the late 50s to early 60s!
You will never be forgotten Earl Grant!!! Congratulation!!!👏👏👏👏👏

Simply amazing! The emotional and artistic presence behind the somewhat weird instrument is exceptional and overwhelming.
Great effects! I wonder of he was an inspiration for rick wright of pink floyd? Birds right here. Crows in Echoes, pigs and dogs in Animals. So evocative.

No one could finger an organ like Earl

Maravilhoso!! ❤
More organ!
More cow bell! 🤣
@@mmccartney6579
There was absolutely nothing cornball, hillbillyish or "cowbell" about this fine interpretation.😊
@@mmccartney6579-Hello Cousin
More organ.
The sound Hammond Organ has is comfotable for me.
I think that the bird sounds were a little too loud but a lovely version otherwise!
Hammond Organ
