“I got him back with the rope” lmfao
I've caught an itchy, down there. Would you mind?
Now I can tell the whole world you done scratched my balls 🤣
Yeah, not like he also died in that scene but whatever:))
Wait... what???? 😂
lmfao I saw this movie with my gf at the time and she was laughing bc she could tell it made my balls hurt

Mads is an amazing actor!
Without being in commercial movies.
@@45dableIndiana Jones, Star Wars, Marvel, sure no commercial movies :-)
@@anderslarsen6009You know, I don't actually recall him in any of those.
@anderslarsen6009 I did a Google, and I didn't watch the new Jones or any of the new Star Wars. It has been a while since I watched Doctor Strange.
Agreed 💯💯👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
It's a testament to Casino Royale's genius that I know absolutely nothing about poker, yet I never stopped feeling tension and adrenaline in those scenes.
Maybe not. Because i only know a bit about poker and realize how ridiculous it was ( the betting and acting were fine)
Youre making an Intelligent, spy movie with a gambling theme. Titled "Casino Royale" i get that you dont want to confuse non poker players, but they confused poker players. Why would you cater that film only to people that dont know anything?especially since the cards dont matter to them.. why not just take 5min and make it easily understandable but also realistically possible?
Margin Call, on a similar theme...
Because you know nothing is why it wasn't laughable. It's so over the top.
Same here
Because frankly the average joe is who the movie is made for @@tobe1207 those who know are the minority

That rope scene was nuts
hehehehhehehhehe
Badum tsssss
Crushed nuts?!
was nuts off!
Literally
Oh bro you got him back with the rope for real. That’s no joke
That took some balls
We were all at the end of ours in that scene
Apparently the wood that they were using to shield Craig's stones cracked during that scene...
Rope? Is that a scene or another movie?
Oh a quick search on google and i found it lol

Makes the line that M mentions Bond is the best poker player in the organization that much funnier.
Yes, 007, but not Craig.
It's chemin de fer in the book.
Mads’ interviews are always insightful and entertaining. He seems like such a wholesome and down-to-earth individual.
every time I see Mads Mikkelsen on the internet he really looks like the big boss in metal gear solid V 😅

Listening to this makes me agree with James earl jones… the best villains in film are played by the nicest guys
It's like that with Heath Ledger as the Joker, Antony Starr as Homelander, and Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurh as well!

WITH THE ROPE😂😂😂As a kid watching Casino Royale…that was traumatic.
As an adult it's still traumatic! 😂
I'm a woman and I find it traumatic! 😱😆
Fun fact, the rope scene was ad libbed, he was originally supposed to ask 007 for the money back but mikkelsen was so pissed about the poker that he tied him to a chair and started wailing on him with a rope.
Weird that an ad-lib where Mads was just scratching Craig's balls got included in the final cut, but I'm happier for the inclusion, so 🤷

I loooooved him as le chiffre best bond villian ever.... "oops"
To this day I still remember when this gem came out, I read so many newspaper critiques on it. One quote in particular has stood out all this time and I wonder if they still have their job, paraphrasing with this quote: "...and they hire [Mads] as the main villain. Really? Do they really need to court the Danish demographic?"
😅😅😅
Lol, it was a big deal in Denmark at the time i remember. Him and Coster-Waldau are very loved here. Best Mikkelsen performance has to be Blinkende Lygter and Coster-Waldau’s best must be Nattevagten
@@TheDeathsMessengerBoth great actors. I'll have to look out for films (as long as there is subtitles or, voice overs), because I don't speak a word of Danish, or is it Dansk? Denmark looks like a great place to live. I stayed in the Netherlands a few decades ago & intended on going back to the European mainland, but then bloody Brexit & all the madness that's came with it. Scotland voted to remain, but we were ignored as usual.
Casino Royale I feel was the best Daniel Craig Bond movie. The acting performances by both Mads and Daniel were absolutely superb. Eva Green was just the cherry on top. They really made a memorable 007 film. Gotta love Mads little "rope" line, haha.
The way he said "he sucked" gets me all the time 😂
I love how Bond tips the dealer $250,000 after he wins the tournament.
“Thank you Sir.”
As if it was 500 bucks! 😅
That tip wasn't worth anything, lol! It's like tipping a dealer in a game of Monopoly with play money.
@@Daniel_P116 But he did it, and it's a movie, so it happened. Think about it this way: those are no ordinary poker chips, they'd be under extremely tight security just like the rest of the game. So if Bond publicly slides one over to the dealer, and the pit boss witnesses it, it's a done deal. Maybe the value would be charged to Bond's room or something 🤑
@@BaileysMariner That's not what the game was. It was a tournament, with the prize in escrow. The chips aren't worth anything.
@@Daniel_P116 Yes but he did it, and it's a movie, so let's all just be happy for the fictional dealer.
Got him back? Dude, you done scratched his balls😂
POLAR is a killer movie with Mads. Best I've seen of him yet
You should seem him in the Hannibal TV series. Absolutely stomps Hopkin's depiction. Terrifying.

Polar is seriously one of the most entertaining and epic action films ever, so underrated and undiscovered…
Hannibal, The Hunt and Casino Royale is easily my top 3 of his best performances.
Ay, that rope scene was something different 😬
Still the best Bond film of all time. The intensity throughout the whole film hasn’t been matched since.
This might be my favorite interview of an actor ever
My introduction to Mads was in King Arthur as Tristan. And also in in Clash of the Titans. Superb actor
That movie got me into poker. There aren’t many perfect, A+ movies but Casino Royal is one.
One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

What an awesome actor. Gotta watch The Salvation and The Hunt, especially The Hunt
Best of the Craig Era villians imo. Excellent performance
Mads is actually nice and friendly and goofy and that is so alarming since he only ever plays the most evil guy imaginable
No kidding, even was playing grieving father who did go on revenge trip was intense.
I'm half an hour in and this is the best episode yet. Fantastic stories about Europe which you probably wouldn't hear in any other context. And it's all very genuine and relaxed, like it really is just a few mates having a chat.
This is one for the football purists.
“Well, I got him back, with the rope.” Mads Mikkelson is awesome 👏🏾😂
that GQ screen jumpscared me almost as much as the Hannibal intro.
OO, that rope scene was brutal!
We gotta give this guy gis flowers. He's been an ironic villian for decades
This is my favorite James Bond scene ever....it was filmed well enough that you could cut the tension in the air with a knife

@tykeboy16 it certainly is the best Craig film

It's upheld as one of the best Bonds and certainly one of the best Craig era Bond films.
I've was a lifelong Bond fan and enjoyed Craig's 1st entry. He brought the character into the modern. But subsequent films were 'meh' to me. Bond was supposed to be fun. The new Bond has grown way too dark for me.
Mr Mads.......LEGEND!! Whether its a paycheck big studio movie or a small historical drama he owns every scene and makes thin roles so, so much juicier. One of the best of our generation. Grossly underrated by his peers and the public.
"La chiffre" was one of the best character played by Mads, and he is one the greatest artist i have seen, He overshadowed Daniel in Casino Royale, And Benedict Cumberbatch in Dr. Strange.
Lol!! Mikkelsen is awesome!
Most underrated actor.
I've always loved this actor in all his roles. He is absolutely divine!

I have never played poker or any card game and literally have no idea what's happening during poker scenes in films including this one, something I'm strangely proud of for some reason.
He's simply beautiful.
You, sir, are the real winner of that game! 😂😂😂
Such an under rated actor
Hehe😈 just watched the movie yesterday 😈 am I the bad guy for laughing really hard when James Bond got hit in the balls 🤨
No, because he did too to be fair!....
What a heck of an actor.
Love Mads Mikkelson as an actor. Can’t wait for another film starring him to come out.
I hated how bad the poker scene was in the movie. I was in a small independent film with a poker in it. I told the director that it didn't make any sense and how he could tweak it to make sense. He told me it didn't matter because most people wouldn't understand it anyway. So frustrating.
I've seen a lot of poker showdowns in movies, and I cannot remember one with realistic hands.
