Hi Dan, it was a very informative video. It was white useful. Many thanks for posting it. Just a small query. My gesture control for the sun blind is not working . It is a 2020 model but it has that feature. When I got the car from the dealer sunblind one touch button didn’t work until I do the rest. Do you know how to rest the gesture control? Is there a way to switch it on/ off? Thanks in advance for the support.

Thanks Dan. The map update is not available over the air. You have to download the update on to a USB stick from your computer and then load it on to the car. Incontrol and car software updates CAN be done over the air.

I don’t. This is a market dependent feature and the car has to be within the new car warranty period with In Control activated.

Great video! had to use this to share with my Dealership that my auto access height was in fact, not working. The panel where you change the mirror settings also did not light up, and needed replaced. Was able to link this video to show that in fact, that should light up, and your explanation of the auto height really helped. We are in week 4 of ownership and 3.5 of it being in the shop! LOL.

Would you mind explaining how to permanently disable or kill the on/off feature of the engine when the car stops and restarts in traffic?
It’s possible. I don’t know how to do it but an experienced LR technician can do it for you.

Just bought the 2021 LR RR sport dynamic SVR super charge. Love everything except for having to hit 10 buttons before I put it in drive just to get the settings back to where I want & had them when I last shut car off. Kind of annoying.
Does anyone know how to override the following?
1. Turn off the auto shut off so it stays off upon restarting it.
2. Turn on fog lights, font and back, to automatically go on with my headlights.
3. How can you get car to make a beep when locking car with the key fob instead of just the headlights flashing?

Hi!
The auto start/stop can’t be permanently turned off unfortunately. Same with the front and rear fog lights but you shouldn’t have those on all the time, especially the rear fog lights, as they are bright. Lastly, there isn’t a sound it can make when you lock it unless you press the lock button 3 times then it does a quick honk.

My husband just bought a 2020 model and we were trying to figure out the how to work the blind spot monitor feature, but under "collision avoidance " we noticed that we don't have anything after AEB. Is that normal for this year's model?

Is it a different car? It may not be equipped with it as an option.
Hi, does the 2020 sport HSE have a CD player. Is there a way to upload your music to the CD changer like in the 2016 sport HSE?
No, it does not have a hard drive unfortunately
Actually there is no OTA update of the GPS. The systems only checks if there are new maps available. Then you have to download them on a USB stick which takes hours. The transfer from the stick to the car system takes another 40 minutes (Europe & Russia).
Buy it. Love mine. Had 3 and the HST is phenomenal. Road presence is great, motor has a ton of ‘go’, and the sheer beauty makes me turn my head every time. Love the heritage, love the tradition. They’re finicky, at times, but try one out and you won’t go back. This from a Porsche guy.

Thanks for the very informative video, I have a question for 2019 RRS Autobiography. Is there a way to activate the front parking sensors (without selecting reverse gear) and showing on display screen when parking or going through tight spaces. I had that on the X5 and found it very useful.

@@dan_stuart That worked for me, thanks. It’s not as good as the X5 system, as sensors on display screen only comes on when you are really close to the object in front (at least mine on anyways). It’s better than nothing I guess, so thanks for the video.

1. Am I able to add the ambient lighting system via an update through the dealer?
2. Am I able to add the heating steering wheel through an update via the dealer? I see the button but it doesn’t illuminate!

Thanks! The ambient lighting is a factory-only option and same with the heated steering wheel but if you see the logo on your heated steering wheel, your vehicle should have it equipped but the light might be burnt out? Not sure on that one.

Hi Dan. Thanks for the video! Can you please help me to understand how to turn the heating of side-view mirrors? When it`s cold or raining that`s an issue. I can`t find any button to turn it ON. Somebody suggested that it should be ON when the front windshield heating is ON. Is that correct?
Hi Eugene, it's connected with the rear defroster. They will activate automatically when the rear defroster is on. Usually takes 2-3 minutes to see the difference.

Hi! You have to turn the knob on the right side of the steering wheel where the column adjustment is. You’ll see one that says AUTO and the other says MANUAL, select manual and you’ll be good to go. Please subscribe!

This feature would need to be re-enabled by a Land Rover technician.
Is ambient lighting standard for a 2021 p525 HSE? I just bought one and I don’t see any on at night.
On a 21 it is optional unfortunately
Dan how do I lower the volume when I get a text message that is being displayed? The volume is very loud and the phone is connected via blue tooth. I have a 2021 Range Rover Sport Silver Edition
You have to change it under the settings of the touch screen or turn down the volume on the car as the sound is happening.
Hi Dan, how come when we choose AUTO for climate, in the winter, when the car is ICE cold, the AC lights up? We never feel the heat for a min of 20 mins even after the car has been remote-started for 15 mins nd we never hear the heat even though we have it powered up in settings....? Can ou offer advice? Its cold out!
Auto will always activate the AC, it’s the way our cars are designed. But the heat should be activating if you are remote starting from your phone. So if you don’t have the heat coming out when you start from your phone, then you might have to contact your retailer.

Not possible unfortunately. Remote start is only remote start to warm up the vehicle.

Hey Dan, This video is very helpful however, I am having an issue and cannot find anything n here or online in the manual etc. regarding more details on the heating and AC. I struggled int he summer and am again struggling and driving in a freezing car! I have it set to Auto, and to sync. I put the temp say at 23 degrees or higher and the AC light goes on! The car does not heat. I am relying on heated seats and steering wheel....not ideal :-0. Even when I remote start and have the car temp set at 24- its freezing when I get in. Advice? Links?
Hi Janey, if you are remote starting and the car is still cold, then you’ll need to make a service appointment since the car’s heated system is not activating.

Thanks for sharing. That feature is only on 2018 and 2019 models. The one I’m in is a 2022 model, so it is not equipped.

Hello, would you happen to know how to remove media tracks from the queue or deactivate the queue feature all-together? Annoyingly I have put some tracks into queue by error and now it just keeps playing only those tracks over and over and can seem to find out how to deactivate this..
Hmm. Media tracks in the queue. I haven’t done that one before. It could be configured under the settings button then you select media. Is this for satellite or what input is it?

@@harmsworths there will be a way to edit the list however I have never done this before. You’ll have to take a look at the owners manual and look under media.

On channel zero you will have a code and a phone number. You’ll need to call the 1-800 number and provide them the code to your car.
On the 2018 sport does the rear seat bottom fold down,or is it only the seat back?
Only the seat back unfortunately
You can click the back rest down though to make it a bit flatter

Unfortunately no.
Is possible to set the dash screen to see how many miles you have in gas?
Yes press the trip computer button on the end of the turn signal. It will cycle through and eventually get you to distance to empty
On the global windows settings, the windows all come down when holding the unlock on key fob, but when I hit the lock button the windows are not all going up. Is there another setting that needs to be selected?
For certain regions, the global close function is deactivated due to a safety hazard for children.

Yes heated seats is covered in the video. You click the circle where it says the climate for either driver or passenger then adjust the dial. Only the HST and Autobiography will have the option of getting g massage seats.
How do I open the top/tilt screen to reveal the CD player behind please?
CD player is located in the upper glovebox. On the passenger side, there is a round button split into two, with up & down arrows. The upper arrow should open the upper glovebox to reveal the cd player (assuming you optioned it)

It’s a factory option. You can get aftermarket LED lighting on the inside but the OEM is at the factory install only

The left side of the steering wheel you press menu/Vehicle settings/Units then switch from kms to miles or vice versa
You said to put the drivers lights on the RIGHT SIDE because you are in Canada??? Don't you drive on the left side like we do in US?

@@ManiSuReal surround camera is standard but it was restricted for a while during COVID.
@Dan Stuart hmm weird something like this would be disabled due to covid. I have the range rover sport p525 autobiography, it's Nov 2018 build. It has rear seat entertainment, 7 seats, Apple Carplay etc but in my camera I do not see the option for 360, just 360 parking sensors with a rear camera. Do you think it's software disabled?
