I agree that the biggest “needed” update for the PC2 game would be to have more variation in stations. Being able to access the station platform via stairs like you see on steeplechase or Winjas in Phantasialand. A turntable station for water rides. Like the ones in Efteling. Moving stations for short car coasters and just more customizable options
Stations are literally the only thing that could make my current creations better. Controversial here but I actually think onload/offload/rolling stations and getting rid of the ugly airgates is more important than adding a switch track and even less important drop track. Just saying
Besides updated stations and maybe maintenance bays etc., here are some more features that nobody has talked about in a video, that I really wish for to be in the game, altough it might not really happen: - Pre-show queue sections that are connected to a sequencer and hold up guest from walking through until the sequence is finished. - Something similar for creating shows where people actually gather before the timed sequence and stay for the duration of the sequence. - Ride operator perspective, having the option to controll the ride just like in RideSims. - Ride photo shops with a camera you can place anywhere at the ride and link them to. The shops should have screens where you can see the taken pictures. - An overall queue time overview in the UI to immerse into the guest perspective, maybe also as a heatmap feature. - Hotel/Restaurant rooms with a glass front you can look into (not just a dark block you hide in a building like in Planco 1). - Parking lots (they don't have to actually work, but give us at least the building components for these, to make building them easier and better looking) Maybe (hopefully) a Frontier dev sees this😂 What do you think about these?
Great video Dan! Love your ideas and thoughts! I agree about the stations. They’re pretty bulky. Being able to have separate load and unload stations can be a key part in the theming of a ride as well. It’ll be interesting to see how they balance out realistic theme park design/operations and the fun simplicity of the Planet Coaster style and enjoyable gameplay. I can’t imagine creating a game like this while trying to keep it within a reasonable range of system operating requirements. Frontier has definitely listened to players feedback and has done a great job so far. There’s no doubt about that!
7:07 Wow, you looked at my comment! Thank you Dan for mentioning the S&S Axis coaster, we NEED it in planet coaster 2 that would genuinly blow up the amount of sales Planet Coaster 2 would get😂😂😂❤
@@jarmoliebrand2005 tbh the new model is better, at least in real life, the bird one that exists in real life is quite painful, while the new Axis coaster is extremely smooth!🎢 which is why I prefer the new one
My Small Wishlist - More ride options like height increase for tower rides, and reverse rotate. Full rotate swing for pirate ship - More track rides, with options. - People Elevators
Ooh, I love these options. And hadn’t thought of them myself. Customisable flat rides like that would be great. We don’t always want these ridiculously big drop towers. It seems like many track rides have some good options already. I hope some that were in the first game and haven’t been confirmed here will return. I love the inclusion of the people mover. I’d love trackless darkrides. Guest lifts would be really neat. Perhaps it could also tie in with management features to make your park available for people with disabilities. Using elevators/gentle slopes rather than stairs. Having a small extra queue for these guests. And perhaps having a vehicle rental shop for wheelchairs, but also strollers or something.
I think the other themes will come in DLC. I'm already imagining western coming with the Evolution ride and Theater. Also sci-fi coming with Sky Coaster and 3D cinema. Pirate coming swan boats, maze, circus and mini golf. Studio with stage. Spooky with walkthrough scream maze and shooting galeries.
My wish list: - proper coaster smoothing!!! - proper path tunneling - auto-tunneling after buidling (both path, rides and coasters), I don't want to fiddle all sort of stuff and then have lots of holes to clean up - coaster design phase without costs and final construction option (including tunneling) with emmidiate value calculation (forces, fear etc) - customizable stuff brush (brushes I've seen though already) - more size and value depending guest rush (my large coasters, despite good values rarly get the proper attention) - more obvious effects of food toppings (including cost per item etc) - guest elevators (I just read that. Nice idea!) - 1 and 2 m wide wall parts, maybe scalable wall parts in general - degree clipping beyond or below 90 degrees on grid for buildings - no banking & loop limitations on B&M Hyper, Intamin Hyper and RMC hybrids
In the last deep dive there were guests clipping through the airgates to exit on the same side, which makes me believe that the stations they've showed have maybe just been placeholders for something else...
I hope the vertical lifthill on the gerstlaur eurofighter is fixed because it was always terrible on the beyond vertical bit going into the rest of the drop
Great inputs! I got another kind of overlooked coaster type that would be great to see: Family Coasters. Gerstlauer Bobsleds, Vekoma Family Boomerangs/Launches, ART Enginering Coasters, (were there any Wild Mice in PlanCo 2) Intamin Straddle Coasters, Gravity Group Timberliners and some more I think are missing. But pls fix the stations!
This definitely seems like the most on the nose coaster type that hasn’t been confirmed. It’s super versatile and would suit all the new track piece options. And it’s probably the most requested coaster.
I'm pretty sure I saw someone on Reddit spotted there is continuous load platforms. I feel like the way they've coded that stations means that they can't have separate load and unload platforms, but I'd love to be proven wrong
Station mechanics is the glaring thing missing. Rolling stations (like omnimover dark rides, Wilde mouse coasters, and raft rides) and split stations (California Screamin’, Small World, Indiana Jones, and Big Thunder Mountain).
Probably a lot to ask but i really want coaster track sections and trains as scenery pieces, even if we do get transfer tracks, I think they would be useful theming items. Especially if they are scalable. I would also love to see on ride photos with a shop to sell them from ( Honestly dont know why this wasnt in the first game. Its the most theme park thing there is!) Would be really cool if guests would seek indoor activites and rides when it rains. So making an indoor pool, coaster etc would actually be worth it from a managment point of view. Hope the gift shops from Planet Zoo come. Walk through exit gift shops would be cool. But even if we get the shelves etc from PZ and we connect then to a shop desk (Kinda like how hotels work in PC!). And of course, the obvious transfer tracks.

Honestly the one coaster type I'm really really missing is an Intamin Blitz (technically now an LSM Multilaunch). So versatile, or at least give us these classy intamin trains please :P
The things I really want in this game: I would not be mad if a lot of these weren’t in the game from launch. And it wouldn’t be the end of the world if these things won’t end up being in the game ever. I don’t want to demand anything and push Frontier too hard… because the game already looks so amazing, but still… These are my wants… - Basically everything revolving around stations which you pointed out. Separate off and on load stations/sections. More realistic, customisable stations and continuous stations (which seem to be confirmed with the people mover ride???, but I’d love this for many ride types. Especially many of the track rides). Efteling is my home park and basically all the rides PlanCo would classify as track rides (apart from Symbolica) have these continuous stations. Damn was I scared I’d be too late to board the rides as a kid. - Restaurants and hotels. Still kind of bandwagoning on the content of your video here, but yeah… We get a lot of food options in this game. We already have seen sushi and vegan food and such. Such there’s more options to customise your restaurants. And with the resort theme and such… It only makes sense. - Coasters: Vekoma Flying Dutchman (because it’s a unique kind of flying coaster), Vekoma Flying Coaster (people love F.L.Y. plus a launch on a flying coaster would be such a cool option in game… We only have one modern Vekoma option confirmed as of yet, but there’s more to choose from), Modern Vekoma Inverts (wouldn’t want to be stuck with just SLCs now would we?), Intamin Blitz (needs no explanation), Modern Intamin Mega (like Hyperion/Kondaa), RMC Raptor (because unlike, the T-Rex, it’s actually been built, plus these things just can pull off unique, wacky manoeuvres), Mack Hyper (DC Rivals), Mack Xtreme Spinner (One of the most critically acclaimed models at the moment), Mack Powered (Would be a great way to expand junior coaster options, the powered mechanic is a unique one), Mack Big Dipper (A unique coaster type that hasn’t really caught on). Alpine coasters. These are probably my biggest wants, but there are plenty of other models still… S&S Freespin, that Zierer coaster with the vertical launch, other spinners like the Gerstlauer ones (which have riders face each other, instead of riders sitting with their backs against each other). I know I’m kind of spitballing with this many models, but I want to get as much out there as I can. I think the ones I’d want the most are the Blitz, Raptor, Powered and Extreme Spinner. - Options for coasters: Adding launches to RMC topper tracks (because lightning rod had one), backwards facing/spinning back row seats, Hybrid Titan track for GCI woodies (it could just be a visual thing), swing launches (maybe even without switch tracks, like some Infinity coasters [such as Gold Rush at Slagharen]), compressing coaster types into one (seems like the game has done this a bit already but what I mean by this is instead of having two separate wing coasters, or separate Vekoma new Gen coasters, you have one coaster that can do both chain lifts and launches), inversions on wooden coasters/make a new wooden coaster type tailored to people who want to make Gravity Group type creations… so I guess a boomerang woodie would also be cool). - Track rides: Do we know whether the boat ride will return (Pirates of Caribbean style)? And that motion arm from the studio pack? And did we have trackless darkrides already, or not? I honestly think the final version of the first game included most of the things I wanted in this department. I like the cable cars, water rides, trains, and other cars. I’d love for us to be able to customise these vehicles like we can do with the coaster trains. Please, Frontier, let us. - Flat Rides: I’m not the biggest flat ride guy but I’d love love love the Madhouse in particular. This is my personal most wanted ride type (I just love Villa Volta and Hex looks so cool too… plus some others as well). If Frontier could pull this off, it would be the biggest flex for their new flat ride customisation features. Imagine you just have this empty box at first, with just benches. Then you can build a room around it and program the show to your liking. I’d so adore this being in the game. I don’t think it’s feasible for the main game, but a DLC??? I’d love it. A bit more obscure ride I’d love is the Intamin Dynamic Motion Stage. The prototype will be opening October 31st (Danse Macabre at Efteling). I felt represented when Frontier added the Intamin Flying Island (Pagode) in the first game. So I know they can pull off rare rides that are found at my home park. This ride would be so versatile. It can spin like Teacups (both the platform and the individual seats). The platform has the option for a slight drop/heave a couple of meters. Plus, it can bank like 20° or so. I’d just love these more theme/story oriented dark rides to be in the game. It’s the type of flat ride I’ve grown up with, as an Efteling goer, rather than the big thrill rides. - I think this could be a big ask, but functioning playgrounds, or something. Especially since you could make water play grounds for your pool parks/areas. It would be a pretty neat DLC. We have teeter totters on coasters, but not play ground ones (coasters do take priority). I would enjoy just making a nice playground area with perhaps some pre-made slide, swing and other pieces. Maybe you could also have these sort of climbing attraction. Maybe climbing walls, or those parkour/maze things with those thick ropes. I actually see those more often in zoos, than in theme parks, but they could work here. I think it could be a big ask and it’s not my most requested feature. I think catering specifically to the younger demographics here could have a value and add something neat. - Returning scenery packs: I just hope many of the themes from PlanCo 1 will return. I’m fine with those packs being DLC. It seems like you can make other themes outside of the one PlanCo2 straight up offers… but no one would be opposed to more themes. If Frontier could expand on the old themes, add more items… with the scaling feature… we’re going to have a blast for much longer than we already will. - Some practical things, for management perhaps. Making your park accessible for disables people by renting wheelchairs and making sure you use gentle slopes rather than stairs more often. I also hope that ride attendants, as they’ve become a staff member you can hire have a bit more animations and functionality. I don’t want them just being being the operating buttons and levers. Maybe they check the safety bars. Maybe they can help/escort frightened or nauseous guests. Maybe they could add/remove a train on a coaster. You’d have to balance throughput and running costs. But that idea also adds the whole feature of switch tracks for your stations, that purely serve the function of add/drop trains. Maybe specific trains/vehicles on a coaster/track ride would need tending to every once in a while. Well… I’ve certainly been typing longer than I had anticipated.
I’m really keen on the idea of having elevators or escalators in the game. Incorporating those into queue lines and tall release platforms would be incredible.
I just saw the gif they posted saying that the game is four weeks from release, and noticed that the slides have longer space between connections, which is something Silvarret complained about. I'm so relieved about that because if they listened and made such a small change, they 100% know the rest of our complaints like UI and the requests for stations and transfer tracks. I feel like this is the most that Frontier has ever listened to the community, and it feels so, so good.
I literally thought about the mack spinning coaster, and now you said it! I also hope we get above vertical launches, kind of like voltron has in Europapark (god I love that coaster you must ride it if you havent)
Transfer tracks and train storage, so trains can be added as required without shutting the ride down and having to evacuate the entire queue line! They've added switch tracks, surely transfer tracks wouldn't be too difficult to add in 🤷😅
I’d imagine they’ll keep a few coaster variants out of the game to give themselves something to include in future DLC. Having said that with the popularity of swing launches it does feel odd not to include them. However they 100% need to improve the stations. Separate offload for all trains types and double sided stations for wing coasters should be the bare minimum
We can do a little science experiment. Fill your tub with water and take a cup, and flip it upside down. What happens when you push it under the water? Let it go at the bottom, and it will shoot back up. That's what I gather it will function like anyway.
I really want a coaster creator which I picture is something you can use to create your own coaster type. Also a map generator would be pretty cool to see in the game
Best thing to remember is that the builds we have been seeing are not going to have everything that is final that would be in the main game. They would definitely keep certain things out as to not show them by accident, as well as just not featuring literally everything as for testing purposes, they probably don't want to feature all the content on a single build if its not required!
I’m pretty sure there are going to be updates and more game add-ons so i wouldn’t be surprised if these coasters and things get added in the future (ADDED) i also hope they make a feature that you can lunch the coasters from the station
We really need more rides we have here. What i mean is like boosters and proper shot towers and actual scenic small round boat rides we get here. Ghost train cars like blackpools etc etc etc.
Hotels should be an expansion pack for people that want them, so it’s not a core feature so that people who don’t want to use them don’t have to use them. And they should be built outside of the park, I’ve not been to many parks with the hotel being inside the actual park. Maybe a “resort” expansion so you can have a theme park, water park and hotel complex, next to/near each other but separate from each other.
On the station part there Is still a small bit of hope with the last deep dive we had for some reason they showed the dive coaster and the station was in a bit of a broken state lol so maybe they actually are working on something
I think restaurants are a huge need for launch, sit down restauraunts are a HUGE part of theme park design these days they are a huge part of upselling while inside the park and financial viability of a park. As for rides, I have to ask if the game has a motion simulation flat rid in the game as well as expandable flatrides of this type where you can add a "node" into the same queue system. Along those lines a single queue multi-station ride? how about an interactive "game" ride, along the lines of Astro Blasters, Spiderman or Midway Mania?
One thing I still haven’t seen anything about is whether or not the SLV will be able to launch right out of the station like old fashioned Schwarzkopf shuttle loop coasters.
Dan, I can't wait for you to make a coaster with the world's tallest drop track with a massive rock on the front of the train, everyone and their pet pigeons will ride it 🙌🏻
Yeah the stations are a real problem and I hope they are addressing them. Gotta have dual loading stations. And unload stations. Too many coasters have either one or the other. Also, we DEFINITELY need swing launch coasters.
In the original planet coaster, you could only drive your race tracks using a cheat code. I wonder if this is a result of having developed a driving feature partially that ended up being cut from the game, seeing how the controls are tricky. A full implementation would be great, this is the same studio that gave us Off the Rails
I’d just like to see railway crossings for foot paths rather than building a big bridge. Also regarding stations… The track just floats without any footings or columns.
I’m hoping some of the really cool coasters that aren’t in PlanCo2 yet won’t overshadow the demand for a few new junior/family coasters. Personally, I am really hoping for the Mack powered coaster. Perhaps a bit of a silly pick, but the powered coaster is neither a lift hill nor a launch. It would be a wholly unique coaster type.
The trains I hope for are the Intamin Prefab Trains, 2nd Generation B&M Invert Trains, Vekoma Inverted Boomerang Trains like on Invertigo at Kings Island and so on, S&S 4D Free Spin and Normal B&M Flying Coaster trains
@@ctg5679 I actually think that’ll happen because there’s a water coaster that has the manufacture V&N in it so I think we will get splashdowns in the game

Couldn’t agree more, i would literally die if they don’t add Them. Like, what is The point of adding switchtracks if i can’t do a swing launch?

6:53 there were dozens of these rides, not just one. They're called diving bells.
I’m really keen on the idea of having elevators or escalators in the game. Incorporating those into queue lines and tall release platforms would be incredible.
stations yes..... and snow, and paths that can cross over just at head height , and just above the pool surface level.
Personally, I want a premier rides LIM launched coaster... When will they add that? (It better not have to be a dlc, to poor for that stuff)
I think the insane thing I would like to see is variable speed lifts, where it slows down until the block zone ahead is clear.
So disappointed that nobody talks about working show arenas or stadiums or theater-styled ride like 4d theater :( all theme parks have them.
They do kind off have them, you need to be on PC to mod the screens and stuff.
Mack Xtreme spinner please!!
They put in an S&S free fly in Planet coaster 1. There is only one S&S free fly in the world - Tranan, Skara Sommarland, Sweden
They've added switch tracks, surely transfer tracks wouldn't be too difficult to add in 🤷😅
Thissssssssssssssssssssssss NEEDS to be added
Found you when searching for Alton towers ride pov 2 months ago* now you're my fave!❤️❤️
If you never saw the deep dive, the bouancy flat ride literally just slowly drops the pod into the water and lifts it back up…
I’d imagine they’ll keep a few coaster variants out of the game to give themselves something to include in future DLC. Having said that with the popularity of swing launches it does feel odd not to include them.
However they 100% need to improve the stations. Separate offload for all trains types and double sided stations for wing coasters should be the bare minimum
Can’t wait for it to release
jksdjasd YES DAN. Mentioning the fact that the on load/ off load stations were in RCT games - I know you saw my comment!
We need a swing launch, so people can make recreations of top thrill 2 or kingda ka and kingda ka 2
Hello digital Dan
We can do a little science experiment.
Fill your tub with water and take a cup, and flip it upside down. What happens when you push it under the water? Let it go at the bottom, and it will shoot back up.
That's what I gather it will function like anyway.
I Need my Intamin Blitz!!!! Come on Frontier!!!
Good evening Dan
I’m pretty sure there are going to be updates and more game add-ons so i wouldn’t be surprised if these coasters and things get added in the future
(ADDED) i also hope they make a feature that you can lunch the coasters from the station
Elevators and Car parks
imagine planet coaster / frontier comments on this vid saying : "sure dan we will add some of those recomendations "
We really need more rides we have here. What i mean is like boosters and proper shot towers and actual scenic small round boat rides we get here. Ghost train cars like blackpools etc etc etc.
So excited for planet coaster 2
Hotels should be an expansion pack for people that want them, so it’s not a core feature so that people who don’t want to use them don’t have to use them.
And they should be built outside of the park, I’ve not been to many parks with the hotel being inside the actual park.
Maybe a “resort” expansion so you can have a theme park, water park and hotel complex, next to/near each other but separate from each other.
On the station part there Is still a small bit of hope with the last deep dive we had for some reason they showed the dive coaster and the station was in a bit of a broken state lol so maybe they actually are working on something
Someone should give you an award for being such a good content creator 🥇….. 👍🏼
One thing I still haven’t seen anything about is whether or not the SLV will be able to launch right out of the station like old fashioned Schwarzkopf shuttle loop coasters.
one thing to note if they add a striker coaster is the belts in the station
Dan, I can't wait for you to make a coaster with the world's tallest drop track with a massive rock on the front of the train, everyone and their pet pigeons will ride it 🙌🏻
Indoor parks, small local hit parks, there's a lot of potential
I haven't seen anyone mention a Bobsled or Virginia Reel coaster. Yes, old fashioned but still some exciting rides.
I hope there is an actual single rail coaster, preferably an intamin hot-racer because launches.
vekoma flying coaster like F.L.Y. would be good
Suiii great vid idea Dan!
We just got a new Screenshot confirming an actual full ocean map! It looks absolutely stunning.
Yeah
I would’ve liked the air launch coaster to be the Maxx Force type but oh well
Yeah the stations are a real problem and I hope they are addressing them. Gotta have dual loading stations. And unload stations. Too many coasters have either one or the other. Also, we DEFINITELY need swing launch coasters.
glad to see Dan made it back to the misery of the uk. hope you enjoyed paris!
i want an s&s freespin model in the game so bad idk i love watching them it’s so satisfying
In the original planet coaster, you could only drive your race tracks using a cheat code. I wonder if this is a result of having developed a driving feature partially that ended up being cut from the game, seeing how the controls are tricky. A full implementation would be great, this is the same studio that gave us Off the Rails
really hope they add rmc single rail rapotor modle
Miniature railroads and carnival games would be exciting to me
Keep in mind they haven't been showing any release candidate versions.
I think restaurants are confirmed, in a recent clip there was a building that looks like a restaurant in Planet Zoo.
I think that probably all of these things will happen sometime during the game's lifespan.
Yeah
I’d just like to see railway crossings for foot paths rather than building a big bridge.
Also regarding stations…
The track just floats without any footings or columns.
Another good one to add would be the hyper GTX by chance and they could call the manufacturer “luck” 😂😂
Best new flatride has to be buoyancy😭
I just hope there’s still place for the one flat ride I really want above all others… the Vekoma Madhouse.
Awesome New planco 2 video !!!
Would love to see a family boomerang, they're literally everywhere
I’m hoping some of the really cool coasters that aren’t in PlanCo2 yet won’t overshadow the demand for a few new junior/family coasters. Personally, I am really hoping for the Mack powered coaster. Perhaps a bit of a silly pick, but the powered coaster is neither a lift hill nor a launch. It would be a wholly unique coaster type.
@jarmoliebrand2005 true, they were in roller coaster tycoon 3, and they are also really popular, look at max and moritz at efteling
@@vimes1003 Efteling is my home park so Max and Moritz is the biggest inspiration for wanting a powered coaster.
Also raptor would be cool
Really hope we get individual train color customization like Maverick
im waiting for one thing and that is to control the coasters like a real operator so you can switch on/off brakes, launchers everything
I want F.L.Y in the game. I want the new gen vekoma flying coaster
Hi Dan!
Just remember, anything missing from the game is all able to be paid for as DLC in the future... That's the impression I'm getting
i hope they bring the rmc raptor in the game we only god the t rex from rmc
The trains I hope for are the Intamin Prefab Trains, 2nd Generation B&M Invert Trains, Vekoma Inverted Boomerang Trains like on Invertigo at Kings Island and so on, S&S 4D Free Spin and Normal B&M Flying Coaster trains
Also forgot to mention staggering hyper coaster trains
@@ctg5679 I actually think that’ll happen because there’s a water coaster that has the manufacture V&N in it so I think we will get splashdowns in the game
A powered coaster would be nice as well, how badly I want to recreate The Runaway Mine Train CHOO CHOOOOO
We need a Raptor the T-Rex doesn’t even exist yet
