The lads in Deane Motors have done a hell of a job on their showroom, unreal to see all of the other businesses on the same site as well. You might have just gotten the two Simon's mixed up a little bit there Larry....😉😂 Easy thing to do, they are brothers from another mother anyway 😀
The Escort Mexico stems from when there was a 16,000 mile rally between England and Mexico and which the Ford works rally team won with the their Escort ( and took 6 out of the top 10 places) It’s strange that any car guy would think it’s just a fake sticker 😂
None of the people involved with car related media on social platforms are car guys in any shape or form, it's quite obvious from their absolute lack of knowledge. Even for an uneducated yank, none of these cars should be *that* exotic, there's not a single car in that collection that a genuine car guy "has never seen before".
Woah: a 205 GTi and a 944 Cabrio parked side by side? I have BOTH those cars!!! (1992 205 1.9GTi, same colour, owned about 8 years, and a 1989 944 S2 Cabrio - triple black, which I've owned nearly 22 years!). That is nuts that they have both my cars parked side by side!!!
Larry, Peugeot 205 1.9 is a must, same as the clio "Williams", tuned by the F1 Williams team.. Ford Escort MK 's are the ultimate for me though. Great vlog! 👌
28:14 is the best R5 GTT is sick spent most my youth up till now fucking around with them, hate the c1j though did a 2L f7r out the wiliams in 2006 iirc LOL vids on here too
Had one myself back in the mid 90's. Came with uprated turbo, larger(slightly)all aluminium intercooler, tweaked suspension silicon hoses, the usual. Great craic in a little package(but remarkably roomy on the inside), but I found prone to overheating and lift off oversteer was 'interesting'. And they were made from tin foil and crisp packets :D I seem to remember it having great brakes mind you. Towards the end of my ownership, I broke a really good LHD French import in pearl white metallic that had been impounded in Ireland for tax 'issues'. 200 quid so I figured good for spares. in my shed I still have a lot of the external Turbo panels, bumpers, bonnet, doors IIRC. Have the seats too, but mice got to it over the years... :( Many years ago I sold the dash clocks wheel, and door cards. I say sold, never got paid. The guy I sold my R5 to blew the engine in a week... Have some good memories of that car. :)
@@MrGrentch my mate has a ph1 LHD pearl white one in Scotland he bought it cause the RHD prices are mental as see 16k for the one in the video alone 😬 now there on the up as well LHD the williams are mad money too, I still have a ph1 19 16v Chamade in tungy grey it's probably the only RHD one left in that colour I not seen another in over 10 year and I'm on all the groups going since a kid 😬🤣😏
@@Lusty_85 Fair play for keeping the faith sir. 🙂👍I like to see that. I'm running as a daily a JDM 98 spec Integra Type r since 05, so I get that 100%. And you've a bloody lovely and rare car there.I haven't seen a Chamade in donkey's👍 As for values, at least in the local Irish market, yer man seems sound and clearly a very good businessman and fair play, but he's always been more than a bit 'fruity' with his prices. In the local market anyway. Compare to say the UK the number of guys here willing to splash the cash is absolutely _tiny_ by comparison and _actual_ values reflect that. EG 30+ grand for his four door Integra R? Lop 15K off that and he _might_ get a buyer here. He's had it a while at his prices... look at his gorgeous condition Supra. _Fantastic_ car. 100K + in the States, not moving in Ireland. 30k ish? it would sell. Our market over here is a bit of an oddball and where bargains can kinda still be had.
The Engine Block is one of the most amazingly unique automotive car club as Dean Motorsports called it. Drift Games might have one upon you when it comes to showrooms but Dean Motorsports has Drift Games beat all day everyday when it comes to expensive unique and rare classic cars.
What camera should I buy as my first? I am a kid and I saved up a year or 2 with 200 usd. I want to take photos of cars like you. It can be used as well.
I'm not sure how many people in ireland wouldn't find left hand drives an inconvenience. I certainly wouldn't fancy dipping half my car over the white line on a tight road to see if i can overtake a tractor or not. Probably fine for city, motorway use.
20 years ago I brought in a LHD F355 and didn’t find it an issue ,mostly non motorway roads - if anything it just makes you drive more carefully which isn’t a bad thing
@@mrmartin2079 I was a passenger in my french friends Peugeot 106 years ago and all i remember is me being the one to decide when to overtake on some dodgy roads haha. Gets the passenger involved i guess
The original engine for the MG Metro 6R4 rally car was repurposed. For the XJ220 lol. Thats how insane that car was, if unreliable (they never finished a race, tho it was probably cuz it was purpose built instead of based on a road engine.)
"it actually drives really good" true car salesman!!!
😂
😂
Brought my son to driftgames hq as a surprise... glad we got to see it before the fire❤ magical place
Larry, you should have taken a ride in Clio Williams, you would love that car.

The place burned to the ground last night
Never got to see it and it’s all gone now.😢
Golf mk2 is lovely. What a place, top bloke as well. 😎👊👍👌✌
Ahhh that 6R4 dash, brings back memories of learning to drive, sadly was a normal metro and not a 6R4
My second car 😁
I think I'm in love with that red GTI omg 😍
Great to see spots like this open up here. You have to hand it to them, the lads put in a huge amount of effort to pull it together.
my gpa had a 928 back in the late 80s early 90s, i miss those cruises, RIP Grumpy
What I find interesting about this video, is the amount of rare and awesome cars that you guys walk past or ignore

Liked for the Mexico.
Reminds me of the "Holden" G6/SS's driving around here is AZ. I love them. 🤣🤣🤣

👍🏻 keep the videos coming brother.
This is excellent
9:51 that’s- thats- 😂 *climbs into car aggressively*
This place has burned down tonight 😢
So fkng sad, really hope they were insured but some of these cars are as rare as hens teeth. Terrible, feel sick for the boys
Renault 5 Terbo is like my dream car. Shame it's not the full fat mid engine with side pod/intake version.

The MG Rally looks like a Renault R5 Turbo 😊😮😊
Meat + Motors, that's a good mix. ;-)

The Escort Mexico was named after the London to Mexico Rally which the Escorts won

Think I’ve seen a video of some nutter who has actually turbo’d one.
Dosent matter now the place burnt to the ground last night

Was that the hoonigan kei truck?
I'm surprised that mk4 supra wasn't sold right away rhd 6sp twin turbo car...

It's Cian Leonard's. It's not an M3, it's an F31 320D.

Selling bargains me arse. Buy a car double the price then have it sitting around a show room for months 😂
Does it still smell like meat?

RHD aren't special here, and they're also worth a lot less. Odd choice of words Larry
19:17 “jap spec-“ saying jap is crazy 😂😂😂
It's really not. It's just quicker than saying Japanese Spec. Literally everyone uses it.
Saying jap might be crazy if you live inside the sterile americanised PC bubble, in the real world people aren't that far up their holes.
