- Hey everyone! Sam was a bit under the weather on our regular filming day so Chris decided to check out this awesome vocal cover that was suggested in the comments of one of our Lorna Shore videos!

i finally get to see Lorna Shore live next week and i’m stoked 😃 they’ve gone from small shows of like 1,000 people to playing the main stage at Download Festival in a relatively short time, and i couldn’t be more happy for these guys. they’re all just super nice genuine dudes and deserve all the things.
Sleep Token themselves use effects on the vocals so Will has this mixed similar to how Sleep Token would have done it.

Sleep Token is a deep rabbit hole. Their entire new album take me back to eden is insanely good.
Do note it's called a vocal cover, not a one take performance.
So layering vocals is fair game.
When the homie feels better you two should check out the hypnosis cover also by will ramos so he can experience having his hair blown back too lol. I like that cover the most it's almost...hypnotizing lol..
RE Will's clean singing..... he sounds amazing. I think if you look at Arch Enemy and how they adapted to both addition of Jeff Loomis as 2nd lead guitar and Alissa White-Gluz, you could see how Lorna Shore "could" evolve. With Jeff joining AE he and Michael will do back-n-forth solos and unison solos (without hint of ego). With Alissa replacing the now manager Angela, you have ability to do cleans. She avoided cleans trying to stay true to AE history, however has started adding them and it has made them better. I always prefer melodic undertones to harsh vocals with sense of pitch to just straight harsh. (SIDE NOTE: I do prefer Angela's harsh voice style in Under Black Flags we March, it just hits better). So, at some point I would like to see Will introduce cleans in Lorna Shore's music. Starting clean and then switching to harsh has bigger impact. The additional dynamics, help keep every section of the song fresh.
Alkaline is a good Sleep Token to start with.
Vessel uses effects on his vocals. Will did the same but no effects after half way through.
I wish he could have musically challenged himself to do something more original with the arrangement. It was a bit karaoke.
