This is most excellent news, indeed. I recently got a second hand PS4, but it's OFW was 11.02, which it'll stay at that now. Can't wait for more news on the subject.
I just bought a PS4 on 9.00 and I'll definitely be leaving it there until newer jailbreaks aren't so annoying to apply. I know it's a minor thing, I just wish there was a way to apply the 9.00 version without a USB stick.
You can use pppwn on 9.00.

That's definitely one way to go about it. I have a USB switch plugged to my PS4 Pro which I open the browser, turn the switch on for three seconds, and then it's done I'm happy with it. 🙂
Luckfox or raspberry pi method is by far the easiest and more efficient way to jailbreak. No need for USB

I think the best thing to say here is if you ever want to jailbreak your PS4 or PS5, disconnect it from the internet and never allow it to update. Updates don't happen in the background. You can always tell it is updating through at least a notification feature. Please note that you will lose your PSN connection when you do this. But if you want your PS4 or PS5 to be able to do what Modded warfare shows here, there is a sacrifice.
I think they do update through a game disk as well.

@RetroGamer20109 yes, you need to accept it you are right. Which is also pointless because if you have a jailbroken system, you can wait a few weeks and download it without paying for it lmao.
Except they do happen in the background. Can also download and install after a reboot. So yeah, disconnect it from the internet.

Umm ye it was confusing at first but like once u understand the jailbreak 11.00 is just as good as 9.00 im playing elden ring with the new dlc and i have 1tb of games now with dlcs and updated i just got my ps4 pro last week

The problem with 11.00 is that the jailbreak is not easy at it was for 9.00

If you use a Raspberry Pi box the process is a lot easier, but 9.00 and less are still the best.
My PS4 Pro (7200 Series) has 9.00 and it's super quiet! Love using it.
Yea but you can use raspberry pico flasher and it will be faster unless your high experienced with soldering

@@DenzNobleyeah you can jailbreak on 9.60 all you need is a Ethernet cable connected to the computer sharing the connection on the ps4 plugged in. Run the c++ PPPoe

Yeah, tracking down a PS4 (especially a Pro) with 9.00 or less can be pretty hard and tedious.

@@MilkGlue-xg5vj keep your fingers crossed. The current ps3 firmware 4.91 is jailbreakable. Ps4 is nearly end of life so once the ps6 comes out, the final ps4 firmware will become hackable.
I remember all this hype was around the Xbox 360 with j-tag and now all you need is an old 360 (not a slim) and it is modifyable lol 😂

This is good news, since it will be easier and faster for modders to hack and make a new jailbreak as soon as possible. In my opinion, I think by the time GTA 6 releases, we will already have a 11.52 jailbreak, that's for sure. This is something similar with what happened to the PS3 back then, support ends and modders already have a Jailbreak for every single version.

Excited to see this! I stumbled upon your guides for the 11.00 update and decided to fish out my old ps4 to see what firmware I was on.
I was bummed to find out I had updated it to 11.50 but figured I'd just keep it put away and see if an 11.50 vulnerability is discovered down the road somewhere. I'm stoked to see that it may happen sooner than I anticipated!

I hope this exploit doesn't require any additional software. Earlier this year I got a PS4 with a faulty Blu-Ray drive and let it sit on 11.50 hoping that it would eventually get a second life as a makeshift "PS4 Digital Edition". Fingers crossed.

The hell with the PS5 for now, let's get an exploit or permanent jailbreak for every firmware on the PS4. I'm on 9.00 but tired of trying to be too careful not to update. I've taken every necessary precautions using disable updates and not signing into playstation network but it's still a "what if" deal.
When is Sony going to stop supporting the PS4? These updates are getting ridiculous. I want to jailbreak my PS4 but I keep getting updates.

I feel like it's obvious that the theflow found a ton of exploits and has been methodically notifying sony in a way that maxes out his profit while keeping us relatively current on firmware and games..here's to hoping he's got a permanent job to release once they stop having ps4 game releases

This feel like when there was a 9.00 jb while i was on 9.03 and theFlow found bd-jb exploit. I waited in hope for months for it to be a full jailbreak but then the months became years.
Both firmwares you've mentioned in the video were released before the bug report. So we can't conclude that this bug is for PS4

gently, before that our PS4 crashed with version 11.00, impossible to put on standby or turn off correctly. every 2-3 ignitions it does that

It's just that on a certain version and above creating a jailbreak is way harder on the ps5 than the PS4 due to more security features

@@user-ns4ff9ix1c it's not that confusing .. the video tells us that there is a bug report on hackerone posted by the flow .. it means that there is a upcoming jailbreak for 11.50 fw but i still take this as a grain of salt cause there's still a possibility that this would take like 3-6 months before it gets public
It's probably not on PS5. He would have received $20k not $10k...
Or maybe it's still under investigation/fix on PS5 and the additional $10k will be awarded later when a new update is available for PS5.
hope this time we don't use the pppoe method along with that bustard network cable, just a web browser or usb method would be on our favor.

I just got a new looking PS4 Pro(3rd version) at 11.50 for not a lot of money, and I'll just continue waiting to use it for anything. Plenty of other PS3 games and Switch games, and eventually will RGH mod my Xbox 360.
