Our team visited the units of one of the brigades holding the frontline here to report on the situation.

Ukraine is doing an awesome job of holding the line against a country so much bigger. Keep strong and most of America supports you. 🇺🇲 🇺🇦
The only difference is that Ukraine is fighting at the limit of its capabilities, even with the help of 50 countries, and the Russians are fighting at 1/3 of their capabilities.
But the saddest thing is that Ukraine is critically losing its male population, which will lead to a demographic crisis.
To you, as an American, this does not seem important, but for Ukrainians this could result in the cessation of existence.

Watch him further, it is hard to tell by distance, but if you ask me he is showing severe signs of shell shock and trauma. I've seen that in many soldiers that spend too much time deployed. Those tremors are not natural. Closest guess: hes either pushing with stims to remain functional or is mentally severely harmed. Either way not good. Ukrainians are going through a shit ton of stuff rn. I wish hed go to a hospital, but he would probably feel horribly guilty for that.
Why weren’t the defenses built heavily during the last two years?? Construction should have been robust along the entire lines! I hate to give the Russians ANY kudos BUT in just one season they built the Suroviken lines that stopped Ukraine dead in its tracks when they went on the offensive! So why does Ukraine have to play catch-up right now in the heat of battle!?!

The Ukrainian troops are far too few in number and are being worn down on the front lines, thereby losing more and more combat power.
Now Zelenskyy has passed the law far too late, which could potentially lead to more conscription.
There are now two possibilities.
Either the newly drafted troops are given a crash course for a few days and sent to the front lines as cannon fodder. This would relieve the strain on the worn-out troops, but would lead to high losses for the poorly trained new troops.
Or the newly drafted troops are properly trained in the hinterland for months.
This means that the worn-out troops have to fight on the front lines for even longer, thereby becoming even more worn down.
So things are not looking good for Ukraine because it was not able to mobilize enough people in time to defend the country.
And the question is how motivated the new conscripts are who did not volunteer during the two years.
There really is no point in continuing this war.

Why couldn't the Ukrainian government mobilize enough men to defend the country? Why did 600,000 conscripts flee to Western Europe...? Just because the narrative is repeated over and over again that Ukrainians will do anything to defend their country doesn't mean it's true. If a pro-Russian government follows Zelensky, large parts of the population will play along. Only a small western part of the country will not. That's clear. Reality is not like in the movies. Americans often forget that...
