I don't feel any sympathy for the Bismark or the men on it because they volunteered to get on that battleship to hunt down others and kill them. Just like this man voluntarily joined the Navy and got on a U-boat to knowingly, willingly, and seemingly without remorse went hunting down defenseless cargo ships carrying men who were just bravely working, despite being hunted down in the sea, to bring supplies to feed and defend their families, friends, and neighbors just to survive.

“Defend” - technically it was UK that declared war on Germany, not vice versa. Germany offered peace to UK after the fall of France, but the English refused it. So…
