A new update: It is still seeming to be completely random on whether Oculus and/or Portal will assist you. I would recommend to keep opening new tickets until you get someone to assist you. Some people get their accounts back after 3 tickets, some people are still trying to get it resolved after 15 tickets. It's completely random. I made this video in hopes of helping people who were in the same boat as me. *I do not work for Facebook* and I cannot guarantee anything will work. I am simply sharing my experiences. Please do not send me emails, private messages, or any other communication asking why this happened to you. After watching the 2 videos and reviewing the comments here. It seems that Oculus and Portal don't work anymore. My account got disabled just now and I'm trying to find solution since the only option that FB gave me were request for review and download my info. I chose request for review, then they only asked just a photo of me and said "We Received Your Information. If we still find that your account didn't follow our Community Standards, it will remain disabled." How would you even identify If I violate your community standards without hearing my side? This is madness.

It's been kind of mixed reviews on how it's working for everyone. Lots of people are getting responses to try the Help Center on Facebook. I suggest to tell them the Help Center is not helping and request that your ticket be forwarded to a Facebook Account team member. I followed what you did and the chat response said this: I really appreciate you have followed instructions for your account to be recovered. Unfortunately, we also haven't receive an updates from Facebook on when this issue gets resolved. I completely understand your frustration about having issues with your Facebook. As much as we wanted to help, we don't have any access to check or even reactivating any Facebook accounts.

I know this video is 2 years old but this happened to me today. I was shut down after being on for almost 15 years. No warning, no nothing. I spoke with the chat people and they could care less. I have an Oculus and I tried going to the website. When I click support it brings me back to the page that says I'm disputing the problem. So apparently FB/Meta has figured out the go around on this one so it's no longer any help. Too bad this happened 2 years later. Glad it helped you.

This was very helpful! I'm not sure if anyone has had the situation where your disabled upon joining and making a FB account, but if so, please advise any further tips for that. My daughter was disabled during creating a first time Facebook account! She needs one for work. She put in her email and the password she wanted to use and got the disabled message right then! Facebook asked to verify with her phone number, so she put that in and uploaded ID, and she had to wait 30 days. After the 30 days they said her "account" is permanently disabled. So weird because she never got any further than entering her email and password to create her account to join first time and is now permanently disabled. She tried again to join FB using another email she has, but same thing happened and received a disabled message that came up right after entering her name, new email and new password. Should she try again and use a different birthday? This is crazy! Any help with tips for joining without being disabled would be greatly appreciated. They must think she is a fake person or didn't like her phone number? Thanks!

So I had my account disabled on 4/13/22. Same thing, I’ve been ghosted and no response or explanation as to why. They haven’t given me any notification or reason. It was a success as far as chatting with a real person and they even updated me about a week ago, stating they were still working on it. But nothing since then…nothing! I own an oculus and can’t even use it! All of our kids have them so we can play with them, as we only have one kid still living at home. I’ve been cut off from all of my support circle and I’m absolutely distraught. I’ve tried everything! I do intend to start a channel here and I will be blasting them and taking this as far as I can! I’ve never even violate rules or have I been in fb jail, so this is a complete shock to me! The last post I made was a baby pic of my daughter, fully clothed, wishing her a happy 27th bday at midnight on 4/13, she saw it, and I went to bed, and a few hours later when I woke up, I was gone…account disabled. Question? Did they ever tell you why? Do you have any violation history from it? Because I can’t get oculus to help me now…I’m so frustrated! Thank you for sharing! A new update: It is still seeming to be completely random on whether Oculus and/or Portal will assist you. I would recommend to keep opening new tickets until you get someone to assist you. My account got disabled just now and I'm trying to find solution since the only option that FB gave me were request for review and download my info. I chose request for review, then they only asked just a photo of me and said "We Received Your Information. If we still find that your account didn't follow our Community Standards, it will remain disabled." How would you even identify If I violate your community standards without hearing my side? This is madness.

I suggest to tell them the Help Center is not helping and request that your ticket be forwarded to a Facebook Account team member.

I know this video is 2 years old but this happened to me today. I was shut down after being on for almost 15 years. No warning, no nothing. I spoke with the chat people and they could care less. I have an Oculus and I tried going to the website. When I click support it brings me back to the page that says I'm disputing the problem. Hello and I am giving it a shot. My account was just disabled for no reason that I am aware of. Fingers crossed. But I now know why FB does not have a contact us page, they would get 7 billion emails a day! ugggggg

Latest update: It does seem that Portal and Oculus are NO longer able to support users who do not have an Oculus or Portal device. I am going to have an updated video soon with more steps to follow. I'm hoping to be able to get some insight from Oculus/Portal to see if they have any other suggestions.

Hi i am having the same issue - did what you proposed but i believe a lot of people will try the same and maybe they will block this way - I really dont understand why all these blocks from profiles and business owners - Please update with any more info about this!
This was very helpful! I'm not sure if anyone has had the situation where your disabled upon joining and making a FB account, but if so, please advise any further tips for that.
My daughter was disabled during creating a first time Facebook account! She needs one for work. She put in her email and the password she wanted to use and got the disabled message right then! Facebook asked to verify with her phone number, so she put that in and uploaded ID, and she had to wait 30 days. After the 30 days they said her "account" is permanently disabled.
So weird because she never got any further than entering her email and password to create her account to join first time and is now permanently disabled. She tried again to join FB using another email she has, but same thing happened and received a disabled message that came up right after entering her name, new email and new password.
Should she try again and use a different birthday? This is crazy! Any help with tips for joining without being disabled would be greatly appreciated. They must think she is a fake person or didn't like her phone number? Thanks!

Hi do you think that this method can help me? My FB account was recently hacked. They changed the email and password. Also my telephone number that I had associated with the account is my old phone number that I no longer have. Nothing I have tried works and I can't get a hold of anyone.

So I had my account disabled on 4/13/22. Same thing, I’ve been ghosted and no response or explanation as to why. They haven’t given me any notification or reason. I saw your ideas, and yes I was contacted by a scammer, but I didn’t fall for it. Also, losing my fb has put me into a deep depression as I just took disability retirement, my disability support group is on fb, and my daughter is getting married in June and I can’t help with any of her Facebook groups or shower info and I’m the administrator on her wedding page. Anyway, we already owned an oculus, we’ve had it, so after seeing this I immediately went in to live chat. It was a success as far as chatting with a real person and they even updated me about a week ago, stating they were still working on it. But nothing since then…nothing! I own an oculus and can’t even use it! All of our kids have them so we can play with them, as we only have one kid still living at home. I’ve been cut off from all of my support circle and I’m absolutely distraught. I’ve tried everything! I do intend to start a channel here and I will be blasting them and taking this as far as I can! I’ve never even violate rules or have I been in fb jail, so this is a complete shock to me! The last post I made was a baby pic of my daughter, fully clothed, wishing her a happy 27th bday at midnight on 4/13, she saw it, and I went to bed, and a few hours later when I woke up, I was gone…account disabled. Question? Did they ever tell you why? Do you have any violation history from it? Because I can’t get oculus to help me now…I’m so frustrated! Thank you for sharing! It’s good to know that I’m not the only one!
