always feels great when you see a creator you respect taking some of the same lines in building a deck. i felt like a mega genius running skyclave relic/darksteel citadel in my own build

Like mentioned, it's just due to the creature type bird. They don't give custom sounds for whatever reason. It reminds me of how creature type cat gives a meow...even when it's like a burly Leonin warrior. It always cracks me up to play a humanoid cat and just hear a tiny meow.
We went from screen covering visuals for a mythic creature, to generic audio with no special treatment whatsoever :/
I can see this being the basis for an interesting series you do: take decks that are popular and you find interesting, and fixing them to be better.

Was considering adding Kellan to my Derevi cEDH deck (which is basically "power out TOR asap and draw deck")--thanks for confirming the card draw still occurs even though TOR isn't "destroyed".
You have to look out for "if you do" and "when you do" clauses in those cases. (The difference, if you're curious, is that "when you do" clauses create a new trigger, but "if you do" clauses resolve as part of the same spell/ability.) Since there's no "if you do" clause, the rest of the ability resolves as normal, even if the artifact isn't destroyed.

Much respect to Dblackarrow for playing out [at least a while] the lopsided match-up.
I like to think of the adventure side as basically explore but the card you draw is Kellan and you get the clue as well.
Watched this 💙LIVE, crafted approx half this list, finished it out w/ lesser cards, stayed on theme, got some wins, had fun

Man, I kinda wish there was a ranked brawl mode just so you could play brawl in an environment where it isn't completely free to instaconcede if things look even minorly bad. Mind you, I am guilty of doing that too if my hand is absolute trash or the opponent has an incredible first 4 turns or something, but having rank points on the line would go a long way to preventing that
Excuse me mister GoBlue sir, I know the likelihood of my comment being seen by a busy individual like yourself is probably next to none, but I wanted to ask your thought about a deck with a card called Throne of the Grim Captain. Would it be viable since it should, in theory, be hard to remove from spot removal. Just curious. Thank you if you do happen to see this and get a chuckle from its awkwardness. Like you would say, no questions!
