I said to my mirror: Mirror mirror on the camera, who's the most handsome vlogger of the all. The camera said: You'd be the most handsome vlogger of them all if your videos were vloggs. Such a smart mirror!
did the same better way on my a6000 by mounting the mirrors directly on camera screen. concept is same but its removable, light weight, very portable. RUclips comments should have picture share mode. talks apart good to see you & don't fly away fom the channel without any notice for so many days. 😂😂😂♥️🇮🇳
@@frugalfilmmaker yes it didn't at first because of the hinze. But later I replaced the hinze pins with screws which I got from old dvd writer or hdd I can't remember with little mod and tightened it to hold the folds. made U type shaped claws to hold it with screen
Never even thought of putting a mirror behind the camera, awesome! So, does this mean we are going to see regular content? I sure hope so! But if we only get you until you go back to other projects it's good to get some more frugal tips!
@@frugalfilmmaker Your wearing a jacket, probably in this time of year. There's a ton of wood stacked up by the house. There appears to be water damage around the bottom of the house - probably from snow buildup. A car drove by with Alaska plates. And in the far background, I see the sign that says, "Welcome to Alaska!" Well, half of that may be true.
@@frugalfilmmaker Thanks. Wasn't really looking for it - it was just so obvious. My next concern is - are you and the wife still together? When you first moved, the prospect didn't look too good. And how is Sparky? He must be quite the young man now.
Would those ball heads be able to support a speedlight and wireless receiver? I'm thinking about making flash mounts for my PVC light stand, (which I built from your plans).
I listened to you and found a four-pack of ballheads rated for six pounds on eBay for less than $8. It's a bit of overkill, but at least the rig's secure.
So it took a pandemic to bring you back to RUclips
It makes me so happy to see you!
Glad to have you back, sir. You have been missed.
King of DIY ❤️
Thank you, kind sir!
I still have the $5 pvc camera rig i learned to build from your vid. Its so durable and simple.
Good to see you back... .
Hey hey hey... Yo.. Glad to see you back, you gave me so much inspiration as I started into photography..

Glad to see you back, man!
So glad to see your back.. of the lcd screen.
Good to see you back. I made some of my first rigs from your videos. Now working 2nd feature. Thank you!
Please don't leave us again. I'm so happy to see DIY filmmaking again compared to the camera and gear salesmen.
To be totally transparent, I do use affiliate links, but I get what you're saying. Most the stuff I use (and link to) is pretty cheap.
Welcome back! I hope the break did you some good. Your community has missed you.
Welcome back. Nice to see you back.
Brilliant, another Frugal Filmmaker classic! Keep em coming Scott. Cheers!
He returns!!

Such a smart mirror!
Simple and creative!!! Good thinking, Scott!
So cool. Nice to see you back.

You're BAAAAAAAACK!! :-D
Long time missing on RUclips, hope there will be many more uploads coming in 2020 :-)

I used 2mm aluminium plates and 2mm mirror glass x2, smallest hinze that I found x4
I did try that idea originally, but it wasn't very sturdy and it only works on certain kinds of cameras. Glad it's working for you!

Awesome!
Long time no see. Hope to see more from you soon
AMAZING! 👏 👏 👏 👏 Bravo!
I also been thinking about this trick before but hard finding suitable mirror

I'm shooting for every Monday. Hopefully something useful to start off your week.
@@frugalfilmmaker "I don't like Mondays" is no longer a thing!! :)
This approach should also be adopted by smartphone vloggers who want to take advantage of the higher resolution rear facing camera.
I'm guessing from the outdoor scenes that you're still in Alaska?
How can you tell? 😀

Love that idea but I could never make that. 😢

I wouldn't those ball heads for anything that heavy. Go for the larger versions and you should be fine. I detail those more in my rig parts video.
Thanks.

What dash microphone did you use? Its great
Dash microphone? For this video I'm using an Aspen lav mic going into a Zoom H1 Handy Recorder.
👍👍
Thank God for flip screens. Hahaha
Did you used a magnet? Nice video though!
Or a adhesive tape to put the screw mount on the mirror m
Scott, where you at? I hope us not hearing from you means you are working on a film. How about a quick update?
Working on both! Hope to have something this week that brings everyone up to date.
Great video! I am going to try it! Thanks "theFrubalFilmaker"
