- On April 8th, 2024, at in Dallas, Texas, the Total Eclipse began. Throughout the event, we experienced intermittent cloud cover and waited with bated breath. Thankfully, the clouds broke, and totality emerged between the clouds for 3 minutes and 51 seconds of pure bliss. We were able to taken in the Sun's prominences and Baily's beads. Why did the moon start blocking light at the bottom right of the sun and end at the top left if they follow the same circuit? I'm confused. Doesn't the sun and moon both circuit from west to east, and the moon had to catch up to the sun, so it should have been blocking the sun starting from the left and exiting to the right...? What's going on? Can you explain please?
