In Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 they usually don't have women participating in the janaza. Also they emphasize in getting an odd number of rows when standing for it.
There is no Salah without fatiha. Is janazah prayer not called SALAH tul Janazah? So what's left to discuss? Ibn Abbas RA has the more correct view in this regard. Narrated Ubada bin As-Samit (RA): Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said, “Whoever does not recite ‘Surah Al-Fatiha’ in his (her) Salat, his Salat is invalid.” (Hadith No. 756, Book of Adhan, Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1). Narrated Talha bin `Abdullah bin `Auf: I offered the funeral prayer behind Ibn `Abbas and he recited Al-Fatiha and said, "You should know that it (i.e. recitation of Al-Fatiha) is the tradition of the Prophet (ﷺ) Muhammad. Sahih al-Bukhari 1335
@Halalski Janaza salah is different than other salah(s) - there are NO ruku and Sujud - which are pillars of salah. If you say there is no salah without Fatiha then what about "THERE IS NO SALAH WITHOUT SAJDAH AND RUKU". If you apply the principle for Fatiha then what about the principle for Sujud and ruku(S)? Think about it. Janazah salah is different, it omits some pillars or compulsory acts which are found in the general salah. So there are no right or wrong answers here. Both are valid views and are held by reputable scholars.
Subhanallah… I thought janaza is not for women… Now I know its allowed by all Schools…. If I say this in India, I will be policed by the scholars… lol…

It was very distracting
