I took a tour of the Titan missile silo south of Tucson last year. Great tour, you go down into the silo as a group and a tour guide explains how everything worked. There's a nice museum at ground level as well. Makes a nice day trip from the Phoenix area.
Early on during the Iraq War I went to Hooks repair depot near Texarkana to pick up some surplus I won at auction. Got lost on the facility grounds and came upon the Hummer graveyard. Hummers sent back from Iraq for repair or parts scavaging and disposition. Blown up,shot up, and improvised field armor on most of them. I'm a grown ass man and a combat vet and it made tears run down my cheeks. Saddest things I'd seen in a while.Seeing your load brought the memory back to me.
Good morning Dan, when you are changing the front filter fill it about 3/4 full, install it and then use the primer pump ( give it about 20 cycles ). Then you won't be spilling fuel. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.

There are people around the US who have purchased Old Missile Silos and have converted them into a Variety of things including Underground Residences. 🤔👍
My coworker, retired now, was in the air force and he was stationed in Kansas at one of the missile silos. It takes a special person to do that type of work.

When I was a young redneck I was a simi mech. The fleet I worked on started out with all new tractors, but after 5 years they were all pretty beat & wore. What we used to do to keep DOT off our butts was whenever one of these tractors were serviced, before we put it back on the line, we spent a couple of hours steam cleaning the underbelly cleaning off all the leaked oil & grease so when it went out on the road it looked like it wasnt an old leaky wore out POS. Yeah, the next year they were all replaced, but that last year we did a LOT of steam cleaning. !

Dan, when changing that back filter, I always go under the spring and with the other hand above it pull up under the frame. Then reach over the frame with the free hand and pull up to the housing. Then pull your free hand again to the housing and screw on. I never spill a drop!1

I pull a 5th wheel RV trailer. I always do the tug test after hooking up. Some guys don't bother and they end up caving in their truck box. Hi Dan! Thank you so much for your videos! I think there is a kit that allows you to mount your inboard fuel filter on the outside frame rail, similar to the other fuel filter. It also allows for the water sensor if equipped. Maybe not worth the cost though... Have a great day!
Seen you pulling that load at mile marker 51 just East of Fort Smith Arkansas on Interstate 40 the other day. I hit my train horn. I was heading west but I didn't think you heard it truck on man
My company used to give $$ bonus if you got a good inspection from the CHP. BUT, it got to the point where guys were pulling in & requesting an inspection. They would go out of their way to cross a scale & get that inspection. !
I remember a long time ago I had a Mack with a little 237HP maxidyne motor with an air starter, and it was always a nightmare starting that engine after putting on a new fuel filter, even filling them up there was no way to bleed out the air completely so it didn't take much to empty the air tank to try to re start
Level 1 means a brand new 🚛. 2 level means a professional truckers who's a good driver and think of the safety of others and himself. On the Silos across the United States of America. Dan , that filter that's difficult putting in (messy). Is it possible to set it in behind the hoses then put a small funnel I the top then take a prefilled cup of Diesel then poor it in the filter then screw it in.

Dear mr dan, when doing yourfilter change, try putting the filter in the hole before filling wine fuel, then screw it home, might be worth a try

Make sure to use brake cleaner to clean off residual fuel on anything rubber. Also, permanent marker the fuel filters date and mileage. Hi Bailey!

On that filter maybe even a squeeze bottle with a hose attached then fill the filter. Hope one of those ideas will help buddy.

That filter makes you want to put some type of shallow cap on there that you can pull off easily once you get it down in the frame.
