Parker is a constant level part of the river. Just south of Blue Water Casino is a diversionary dam on the river. Not much, if anything is ever talked about due to it being part of CRIT and their water supply for the area. I can't find much online.
It looks beautiful
Excellent video ! Fantastic info. Truly enjoyed it!
Thank You.
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed!! 👍
Great video and good information.
Hey thanks!!! Glad you enjoyed!
I just saw a video where locals regularly cross the Gila on ATV's above the Painted rock dam when it is dry.
Awesome!! Ever been out to Alamo Lake?
I have not.... Just looked it up on Google maps. Might be a cool place to get some drone shots
Really educational video. Thanks
Hey no problem! Thanks for taking the time to check it out 👍
@@jessiesdroneadventures7464 by the way, my friend took me to the abandoned Cerbat Mine and I made a vid about it. It was fun.
@@wje2 watching it right as we speak!
Always wondered if there was any water in Painted Rock res.
Daaaaammmm!!!!!!
I want a Lake Havasu and London Bridge video please
Why aren't the holding more back for Mead and Powell?? It is insanity both are nearly empty
Right?! So much being released to the downstream lakes that are near 100%.
There are no releases of this magnitude going on at lake Powell or lake Mead. All of the water releases to fill painted rock are being done from rivers and dams who would never reach either lake as they all flow nowhere near either one... So I'm clueless to how this ties into what your saying.
Dude the Painted Rock reservoir is currently full to capacity! can you get some footage or pics to what it looks like now? Unfortunately the army corps of engineers closed the road about 5 miles from the dam as it's flooded and you cannot cross to get to the dam... you would need a drone...
I love your videos, I just found your channel. Thanks for the great information. I have a question. How did they get all that water in Barney Farms Development?
cant tell ya.....havent heard of it
@@jessiesdroneadventures7464 it’s a community in Queen Creek. I’m going to ask one of the salespeople because I always wondered how they get water in the residential communities.
@@citacee4031 ill look into it 👍
That explains why none of the flood water from Phoenix has made it to Yuma.
Good job.
shared.
Hi Jessie, great video!
hey thanks for watching! hopefully next week i can do an update on hoover dam and glen canyon dam
@@jessiesdroneadventures7464 I look forward to your videos.
Great video and information about Painted Rock Dam (and so much more)! I recently purchased a drone and want to get out to this dam. I'm in Yuma, AZ and have flown (second official drone flight) over the Gila River off Hwy 95 by the historic McPhaul Suspension bridge. I have never seen water in this area of the Gila River. You mentioned that the Painted Rock Dam was closed, but it seems you flew your drone from a hilltop south of there. I'll do some research, but was wondering how close you got. ? Thanks for sharing!
yea the dam is closed off to the public, but that doesnt mean you cant see it, I pulled off to the side of the road about a mile before the gate and sent my drone up in the sky from there....didnt have any issues
@@jessiesdroneadventures7464 I appreciate the reply! I actually called the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers number listed nearby and he did say it was still closed. He also mentioned that there wasn't very much water left. I still want to see the dam, but without the water, I'm not sure there will be as much interest to the shot. You got the "Golden" shots! Again, great job!
@@dveatchmedia-prescott if it were me....I'd still go out there and get the shots....there aren't too many videos of it on RUclips. Could be a good opportunity, and heck if you do go out there and get footage of it with little to no water, the next time it does fill up, you will have before and after photos!.....good luck and thanks again!....Jessie
@@jessiesdroneadventures7464 Appreciate your encouragement. Time is slipping by, but I do hope to get out there to get some footage. Thank for your response!
Jahludos lord.
I would love to see the Hassayampa River from the dam down. I bet its overflowing pretty good. Hassayampa means upside down river
The name “Hassayampa” comes from a Yavapai Indian word, hayesamo, meaning “following the water as far as it goes.” Apache Indians referred to it as the “upside down river” because it flows underground most of the way.
I am sure it is flowing all the way to the desert. Something super rare.
I appreciate that info..... didnt know that about the Hassayampa river. Ill see if I can Capture more of it
@@jessiesdroneadventures7464
Hassayampa Lake is high in the Bradshaw mountains. I believe it is part of the Goldwater lake chain. It is an amazingly picturesque valley with a large concreate dam. Not to be mistaken with the downstream location of the infamous Hassayampa dam disaster in Walnut grove that killed over 100 people in the late 1800s.
Oh it can be accessed but it you need a 4X4. Painted rock dam that can be accessed. I had no clue it had high levels of ddt. Ffs people hunt out there. Deer that’ll eat that vegetation. Well we’ll never put out there again. Oh and just so all know is the sewer plant on 99th Ave south of Broadway north of baseline road dumps the “ processed waste” 🙄 into the salt river. That flows into the Gila. Trust me they dump raw sewage into it. Check the lawsuit against them by all that lived in that area. Oh and that water flows to painted rock after flooding. I’m sure they dump a shitton after that.
Can you possibly go around Area 51 again?
Absolutely!
You spelled painted wrong on your thumbnail, I’m sure you realize this
Yea
How do you know so dam much?? 😅
I do a lot of dam research 😄
